AquaEye® - The First of Its Kind Search and Rescue Product.

About us

Vodasafe provides modern methods for water based search and rescue through easily accessible, hand-held scanning sonar devices. Current waterfront rescue methods are archaic, slow to deploy and prone to error. Water clarity makes waterfront rescue extremely difficult and time consuming and in rescue, every second counts. The AquaEye® is an advanced underwater scanner, using the latest in ultrasound and artificial intelligence technologies to identify human bodies underwater. It is our one of a kind product which changes everything with the potential to save hundreds more lives each year; it’s easy to use, only requires one rescuer to operate and displays visual representation of the search area within seconds, allowing users to locate their victims immediately. Mission: Modernize current water based rescue technologies for search and rescue, emergency responders, lifeguards, and recreational users to aid in lifesaving and victim recovery.

  • In November, Islip Fire Department posted the following: Just after 9:00 P.M. the Islip Fire Department responded on a mutual aid to the East Islip Fire Department for our dive team to respond for a vehicle into the water at the marina on the end of Dock Road. A victim was initially within the vehicle in the water and was rescued by members of the East Islip FD and the Suffolk County Police Department. Our crew deployed a surface rescue swimmer into the water with the AquaEye sonar device to scan for potential additional victims which was negative.

  • Reposted from Camden County Sheriff's Office: "At 10:12 AM on November 5, 2024, the Camden County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit and Dive Team responded to assist the St. Marys Police Department and Fire Rescue in the search for a missing male in the water. After a quick sweep of the area with support from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and our Marine Units, divers were deployed. Brantley County brought in AquaEye Sonar equipment, which allowed our team to quickly identify a target. Despite strong currents that caused the target to shift, our divers were able to locate the victim, bringing closure to the family. We also want to give a special shout-out to our instructor and dive team member, Jack Ramsey, who generously donates his time and expertise to our agency. Without his dedication, our dive team wouldn’t be the valuable resource it is today for Camden County and the state of Georgia. Our hearts go out to the victim's family and friends during this tragic time."

  • Inspired by frustration and driven to innovate —Carlyn Loncaric, our founder and CEO, created AquaEye to address a critical gap in water rescue. As a lifeguard there was no technology to help her find someone if they went under the water. She created AquaEye - which unlike traditional tools focused on recovery or fishing, is a handheld sonar designed for immediate deployment, enabling first responders to rapidly locate missing individuals in the water.
