The real question isn’t whether AI is useful. It’s whether it will deliver the economic and productivity gains we’re expecting. What do you think—AI revolution or just another hype cycle?

  • The global shift to clean energy is happening fast, and energy storage is the missing piece. We have the resources, the talent, and the technology—but are we moving quickly enough to lead? This is a good piece. Much of the dominant thinking in economic ministries in the federal bureaucracy refers to small businesses dismissively as "lifestyle businesses." They are always focused on finding the next unicorn. Small, local independent businesses are way more important to economic resilience and community well-being than Official Ottawa thinks. Some of these businesses may end up growing with the right financing and support, but regardless of whether they do or not, they are pillars of our economic security. They are important economic infrastructure that merit the attention of serious enabling economic policy. We should not allow them to be bought up by PE funds from New York.
