  • New Case Study ⭐ — CarbonRun delivers industry-leading MRV with Mangrove Systems We are thrilled to share the story of our customer CarbonRun; a CDR project developer that harnesses the natural power of rivers to remove carbon while restoring water quality, enhancing aquatic biodiversity, and repopulating fish stocks.  CarbonRun needed a strong MRV partner alongside their operational plan to back up the tonnes they are delivering to leading buyers like Frontier Climate. Our team has been working on the ground with CarbonRun to implement end-to-end data collection and quantification, allowing CarbonRun to measure, quantify, and report their removals for delivery. Since deploying Mangrove, CarbonRun has: ✔ Streamlined data collection-to-reporting process, reducing errors and accelerating verification. ✔ Passed rigorous due diligence from top buyers like Frontier with confidence-inspiring MRV. ✔ Focused on core strengths: science and execution, supported by Mangrove’s MRV platform. ✔ Enhanced collaboration by centralizing MRV, forecasting, and inventory in one platform. ✔ Built flexibility to adapt to new registries or standards with a single, reusable data repository. “Mangrove’s solution has been instrumental in communicating the quality and impact of our carbon removal efforts, allowing us to not just meet but exceed industry expectations for transparency and accountability with our stakeholders.” - Luke Connell, CEO, CarbonRun Read the case study here ➡ https://lnkd.in/gauUQ_jY

CEO at Mangrove Systems | Digital MRV for CDR & CCS

Last week we hosted Sequester, Mangrove Systems’ annual retreat in the rocky mountains of Alberta, Canada. We focused on prototyping new features & functionality, refining implementation plans for upcoming deployments, and planning for the rest of the year. Outside of our working sessions, we spent time hiking (in -30c weather!), visiting mountain look-outs and appreciating the natural beauty of Kananaskis. We all came away excited about 2025 and proud of our achievements in 2024. These gatherings are important for us — we are a distributed team because it lets us hire the best people, no matter their location. We are intentional about maximizing in-person work through events like Sequester and more importantly, working closely with customers on-site. We’re on a mission to quantify decarbonization - view our open roles at Mangrove Systems.

  • Mangrove is partnering with CEEZER for the Carbon Coalition accelerator, which supports early-stage startups developing durable carbon removal projects. Now in its third round, the program helps CDR startups navigate commercialization and scale their impact. Bringing a carbon removal project to market involves more than just scaling technology—it requires navigating buyer engagement, contract structuring, market dynamics, and transparent credit tracking. As part of the program, Mangrove will support participants in building a strong foundation for digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification), helping ensure their carbon credits are credible and market-ready from day one. Applications are open until February 28. If you’re developing a scalable carbon removal project, learn more and apply at the link in the comments. #CarbonCoalition #CDR #CDR #VCM #dMRV

  • Justin Chapman, global head of Digital Assets and Financial Markets, at Northern Trust: “Despite some automation and digitization in the VCM over the last few years, the measurement, reporting, and verification of carbon credits has been characterized by manual processes that are resource- and time-intensive.” Today, Northern Trust announced a new platform for digital voluntary carbon credits, marking a shift toward more secure, transparent transactions. As carbon markets grow, scalable digital infrastructure—like what we’re building at Mangrove—will be critical to ensuring trust and efficiency. Mangrove is proud to partner with Northern Trust to advance this evolution, providing the digital MRV and tracking solutions that enable high-integrity carbon markets. As institutional demand increases, seamless, verifiable data will be the foundation of trust and scalability in the VCM. Together, we’re building the infrastructure to support a more transparent and efficient carbon market. #DigitalMRV
