    🔬 Geeky but significant start to the week: We’ve crossed 1,000 cycles on our Li-metal cells, which is four time the baseline! We’re turning Li-metal from lab curiosity into a real-world workhorse. 🚀 Li-metal chemistry delivers some of the highest energy density (lowest weight) available, which is critical, especially for electric aviation. The downside? Under traditional and symmetrical charge/discharge protocols, cycle life of Li-metal batteries falls short.     🇨🇦 Canada may be one of the best places in the world to bootstrap a deep tech startup - thanks to the incredible support available through non-dilutive government programs. Like many early deep tech founders, I’ve struggled to raise equity financing. However, they come with steep costs and limited cycle life - especially under fast charging conditions (unless paired with GBatteries’ IntelligentBMS 💪). ⚡This is where anode-free batteries could make a difference. By eliminating lithium on the anode side and removing graphite, these batteries can be produced at a lower cost while providing higher energy density. This not only extends EV range but also reduces vehicle prices.
