    For the fifth consecutive year, we’re proud to sponsor CJF-CBC/Radio-Canada’s Black Women’s Journalism Fellowship — a program that annually awards an emerging journalist the opportunity to work in a CBC newsroom for six months.   The fellowship seeks to amplify Black voices, improve coverage of issues affecting Black communities and support future Black media leaders — objectives deeply important to us as we strive to celebrate and support the Black community not just during Black History Month, but all the time.   We recently caught up with last year’s fellowship recipient, Daysha Loppie, a journalist and researcher based in Toronto whose writing aims to challenge prevalent, stigmatizing narratives about different communities.   During our conversation, Daysha shared, “I think sometimes there’s an experimental nature to living as a Black person in the world — we have to figure out how to do things a little bit differently, and it’s invaluable to have these perspectives when trying to find innovative ways to propel the journalism industry and help it survive.”   We’ll be announcing this year’s fellow in the spring.     According to the Chinese Lunisolar Calendar, we just entered the Year of the Snake — and celebrations officially start today. This Lunar New Year, we collaborated with Hong Kong-born illustrator Jessie Wong to create a limited-edition capsule collection. Reimagining cherished traditions, the collection combines core Aritzia styles with Jessie’s playful graphics, like smiling lanterns, succulent oranges and red envelopes. “I really wanted to highlight how these customs, even though they might seem routine to young people today, are actually so special,” she shares. “I hope my art helps others reconnect, too.” We also chatted with Jessie about her favourite Lunar New Year foods. On her table you’ll find chocolate coins, red watermelon seeds (紅瓜子), black melon seeds (黑瓜子) and sugus (瑞士糖). “I’d also have some delicious, cooked turnip cake (蘿蔔糕) and Chinese New Year Cake (年糕) to symbolize prosperity and growth,” she says. “Of course, there would be mandarin oranges (桔仔) for good luck, and a few red envelopes (利是).     Our Q3 Fiscal 2025 results are in. Here’s what our CEO, Jennifer Wong, has to say. "Our strong performance in the third quarter of Fiscal 2025 underscores the progress we've made across key areas of our business. We delivered a 12% increase in net revenue compared to the third quarter of Fiscal 2024, as we drove accelerated momentum in eCommerce and executed on our real estate expansion strategy, including the opening of two brand-propelling flagships, one in SoHo and one on Michigan Avenue. We are particularly pleased with the outstanding performance of our business in the United States where net revenue increased 24%, illustrating the strength of the Aritzia brand and growing affinity for our Everyday Luxury offering. We also continued to meaningfully improve our Adjusted EBITDA margin, with a focus on regaining our historical levels in the high teens." Want to learn more? Born in Hong Kong and now based in Kyoto, Jessie is known for her vibrant, fantastical scenes that weave together elements of everyday life. She enjoys “turning simple things into something fun and special.” And for this collection, she did just that.
