Newly examined collections of Taiwanese Scaphidiinae yield five new species: Scaphidium centronotatum sp. nov., Scaphidium tenuifasciatum sp. nov., Pseudobironium conus sp. nov., Scaphisoma fushanense sp. nov., and Scaphoxium martini sp. nov. The following species are reported for the first time from Taiwan: Scaphidium crypticum Tang, Li & He, 2014, Scaphidium sinense Pic, 1954, Scaphisoma binhanum (Pic, 1922), Scaphisoma colasi Löbl, 1965, Scaphisoma gracilendum Löbl, 1990, and Scaphisoma sakaii Löbl, 1988. New records and illustrations of the internal sacs of the aedeagi are given for Scaphidium shirakii Miwa & Mitono, 1943 and Scaphidium shibatai Kimura, 1987.

Studying part of the Cerambycidae collected by Petr Papoušek (Prague, Czech Republic) in the Rif area (Morocco), I discovered two new taxa of Cerambycidae that are described here. One of them belongs to the genus Molorchus Fabricius, 1793 close to M. marmottani Brisout de Barneville, 1863, and the second is described as a subspecies of Pogonocherus caroli Mulsant, 1862.

Dyschirius breviphthalmus is the only known endemic of the genus Dyschirius in the Iberian Peninsula so far. In this work, D. breviphthalmus is redescribed and illustrated including the male and female genitalia. The habitat and other living conditions are extensively characterized, and some aspects such as behaviour and potential distribution are discussed. The accompanying Cicindelidae and Carabidae species collected with D. breviphthalmus in 2023 and 2024 are listed.

Cataglyphis golestanica sp. nov., a member of the C. cursor species group is described from the Golestan Province of Iran. The number of Cataglyphis species known to Iran is now 39.

The following new Scaphidiinae species are described from Myanmar: Scaphisoma bispinosoides sp. nov., S. fortepunctatum sp. nov., S. haraldi sp. nov., S. kurbatovi sp. nov., S. multidentatum sp. nov., S. obesum sp. nov., S. remotum sp. nov., S. serratum sp. nov., S. veloxiodes sp. nov., Scaphobaeocera birmana sp. nov., S. brunkei sp. nov., S. fimbriata sp. nov. and Scaphoxium spinosum sp. nov. Cyparium testaceum Pic, 1920, Scaphisoma basipenne (Pic, 1930), S. helferi Pic, 1930 and S. nigroplagatum Achard, 1920 are redescribed, and the published aedeagal characters of S. coalitum Löbl, 1992 are supplemented. Besides, 39 species of Cyparium Erichson, 1845, Kasibaeocera Leschen & Löbl, 2005, Sapitia Achard, 1920, Scaphisoma Leach, 1815, Scaphobaeocera Csiki, 1909, Scaphoxium Löbl, 1979 and Toxidium LeConte, 1860 are reported from Myanmar for the first time. A check-list of the 104 Myanmar scaphidiine species in 12 genera is provided.

Henri de Saussure described 57 species and one subspecies in the subfamilies Blaberinae, Geoscapheinae and Panesthiinae of the family Blaberidae, nine of them in collaboration with Leo Zehntner. These species are listed alphabetically with an account of the type specimens found in the Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Genève. The location of type specimens in other museums is given where known. The current binominal combination for each species is provided.

On the basis of more than 14,000 occurrences obtained from specimens held in museums and private collections, as well as from literature data, we present the first updated checklist of the Swiss species of Byrrhoidea (Byrrhidae) and Dryopoidea (Dryopidae, Elmidae, Heteroceridae, Limnichidae, Psephenidae, and Ptilodactylidae) since 1900. In total, 78 species are retained as part of the Swiss fauna, while 10 species, which were recorded from Switzerland in the past, are excluded from this list. These exclusions are either due to insufficient documentation, because their records were based on misidentified material, or because they represent isolated cases of introductions of a non-indigenous species. Curimopsis monticola (Franz, 1967), Dryops subincanus (Kuwert, 1890) and Pedilophorus auratus (Duftschmid, 1825) are recorded for the first time in Switzerland. This work is a further step towards the comprehension of the whole Swiss beetle fauna.

Mesozoic fossils of Leiodidae are rare. Here, a new genus and species of the leiodid subfamily Cholevinae, Burmaphagus yamamotoae gen. et. sp. nov. from mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber of northern Myanmar, is described and illustrated. It can be differentiated from Cretoptomaphagus Bao & Antunes-Carvalho, 2020, which is also placed in the tribe Ptomaphagini, mainly by the antennal morphology and structure of the legs. Our finding suggests a potentially diverse paleofauna of cholevine beetles in the Cretaceous.

This paper deals with the description of Coleophora nedae, sp. nov., based on four male specimens collected over a period of eight years on a karst plateau on the island of Krk (Croatia). The species, whose male genitalia are very distinctive, belongs to the group of species of C. narbonensis Baldizzone, 1990 for which a comprehensive study is being planned.

Deux espèces nouvelles de Gibberula sont décrites des fonds meubles du Gabon sur la base des caractères de leurs coquilles et du chromatisme de leurs parties molles, comme G. gabonensis sp. nov. et G. bernardi sp. nov. La coquille de G. gabonensis suggère des affinités de cette espèce avec G. knudseni Boyer, Renda & Swinnen, 2024, décrite du Cameroun, ainsi qu'avec Gibberula quadrifasciata (Marrat, 1873), décrite de «Kabenda» (enclave angolaise de Cabinda, au nord de l'embouchure du Congo), mais uniquement reconnue du Ghana à ce jour. Gibberula bernardi est comparée à G. decorfasciata Rolán & Fernandes, 1997 décrite du Ghana, ainsi qu'à G. aurata (Bavay, 1912), à G. pallata (Bavay, 1912) et à la forme G. cf. benguelensis Jousseaume, 1875, toutes les trois documentées d'Angola. Gibberula gabonensis n'est connue que des côtes gabonaises; G. bernardi est signalée aussi des côtes de la République du Congo.

Two new species of Gibberula are described from Gabon on the basis of their shell features and of their animal chromatism, as G. gabonensis sp. nov. and G. bernardi sp. nov. The shell of G. gabonensis suggests affinities of this species with G. knudseni Boyer, Renda & Swinnen, 2024, described from Cameroon, and with G. quadrifasciata (Marrat, 1873), described from “Kabenda” (Angolan enclave of Cabinda, mouth of Congo River), but only recognized from Ghana until now. Gibberula bernardi is compared with G. decorfasciata Rolán & Fernandes, 1997 described from Ghana, as well as with G. aurata (Bavay, 1912), with G. pallata (Bavay, 1912), and with the form G. cf. benguelensis Jousseaume, 1875, all of them documented from Angola. Gibberula gabonensis is only known from the coasts of Ghana; G. bernardi is also reported from the coasts of the Republic of the Congo.

The eastern Asiatic species of the Xylostola indistincta (Moore, 1882) species complex are revised and a new species, Xylostola jamesyoungi sp. nov. is described. The adults and the genitalia of both sexes are illustrated for three species: X. indistincta, X. jamesyoungi, and the African X. punctum Berio, 1956. A lectotype is designated for X. indistincta.
