On July 15, the webinar “Transregional initiative for water management in agriculture and agri-food” was held within the framework of the Agro&Aigua project financed by the Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean (EPM), with more than 80 participants.
Xavier Bernard Sanz, director of the EPM welcomed the participants and presented the new roadmap of the Euroregion and the projects in which the Euroregion participates. Then the clusters leading the project, the Agri Sur-Ouest Innovation (Occitania), the Catalan Water Partnership (Catalonia), and the BioIB, were presented.
This was followed by several presentations by entities operating in the agri-food and technology sector . Among them, we highlight the participation of José Escalona from INAGEA, who presented the “Efficient use of water in agriculture . Ways of optimization”, Álvaro Sanz, from Geoma CEN, who spoke about “Hydrostat, the new sensor for continuous monitoring of crop water status and intelligent management of irrigation”, and finally Tomeu Guiscafré, CEO at Bitgroup, who presented “The technological innovation for water management”.
After the webinar and a Q&A session , the day continued with a B2B meeting session where more than 20 companies and entities were able to have virtual one-on-one meetings with the day’s participants.
