  • On Monday, 24 February, over 180 participants joined our online workshop, organised with the Institute of Registered Auditors (Instituut van de Bedrijfsrevisoren - Institut des Réviseurs d'Entreprises), to explore best practices and insights on the double materiality process.🌿🔍 The session kicked off with a clear breakdown of the concept: 🌱 Impact materiality looks at how an organisation’s activities affect people and the planet, both positively and negatively. 🌱 Financial materiality examines how ESG topics create financial risks and opportunities for the organisation. Building on this foundation, expert speakers Harry Everaerts (Partner at Ernst & Young), Thomas De Cuyper (Partner at PwC), Karen T. (Group Double materiality Lead at Syensqo) and Davy Peeters (Senior Vice-President Operations, HR & IT at Toyo Ink Europe NV) shared valuable insights on: ✅ Implementing the double materiality process, with lessons learned from both preparers and auditors ✅ Managing the value chain, considering both upstream and downstream impacts ✅ Engaging stakeholders effectively, gathering meaningful input and integrating it into the scoring process ✅ Linking findings to the ESRS framework 📺 Missed the session? Rewatch the workshop and access the slides here 🔗 https://lnkd.in/epBpWj4C 👉 What's next?
