🎉 We are pleased to announce the establishment of the new IOM Global Office in Brussels! The office will be responsible for liaison, advocacy, cooperation and resource mobilization with the European Union Institutions, Bodies and Agencies and will provide strategic and operational guidance to IOM offices on EU-IOM activities around the world. 🌍 This will be done in close coordination between EU counterparts and IOM structures, and will ensure that key stakeholders are kept closely informed of IOM institutional developments. 🤝

#Ukraine3YearsOn IOM Ukraine provided vital aid to 850+ families in the Donetsk region, reaching almost 2000 people in frontline communities. Thanks to financial support from EU in Emergencies, essential items such as winter clothes, lanterns and blankets were delivered to those most affected by the war.

Every person can make a difference. Piotr's selfless initiative rallied a community together to aid Ukrainian refugees settling in Poland. Since 2022, over 6 million people have benefitted from IOM’s humanitarian and recovery efforts in #Ukraine.   From health care and shelter to connecting people with job opportunities, we have worked alongside local partners and grassroots civil society organizations to support those in need.   Yet, challenges remain and require urgent action: 🔴 New displacement continues – An estimated 3.67 million people remain internally displaced. 🔴 Financial vulnerabilities are high – Many struggle to access essentials like power banks, medicines, and food. 🔴 Housing and health care remain critical gaps, forcing people to relocate and increasing vulnerabilities.   That’s why continued funding is crucial to sustain efforts in Ukraine.
