📊 10% van de werkdagen verloren door ziekte – tijd voor actie! De nieuwste cijfers van SD Worx laten een zorgwekkende trend zien: 𝟭 𝗼𝗽 𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟬 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻 in de privésector gaat 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝘇𝗶𝗲𝗸𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘇𝘂𝗶𝗺. Vooral middellang verzuim (1 maand tot 1 jaar) stijgt fors, met een opvallende toename bij werknemers jonger dan 40 jaar. Ook  de langdurige afwezigheden (> 1 jaar) blijven toenemen, in 2024 met 3,3%. De federale regering kondigt maatregelen aan om dit terug te dringen. 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗷 𝗶𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮. The past two days, the AI Action Summit took place in Paris, where Europe made a clear shift in direction: less regulatory complexity, more focus on innovation. A movement that we at FTI can only applaud. AI & data unlocking offer tremendous opportunities to drive our society forward. 💡 Three key takeaways from the final declaration:  1️⃣ 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Europe is determined not to fall behind and is taking concrete action. €109 billion is being mobilized through private funding, and Ursula von der Leyen announced an additional €200 billion in financing.  2️⃣ 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Access to AI and data must be fair and open, with respect for quality and privacy. However, overregulation should not stand in the way of innovation.  3️⃣ 𝗔𝗜 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 – To avoid legal fragmentation, regulations must be cross-border and innovation-friendly. AI is globally spread, and we must treat it as such. 🚀 The message was clear:  "Europe must wake up and keep pace with the world” – statements that continue to resonate. At FTI, we believe that Flanders can take a leading role in this transition. And while progress is being made, there’s still work to do to ensure that the future of innovation is truly inclusive. Yesterday and today, we took our FTI team offsite to Oesterdam to reflect, strategize, and shape the path forward. With 2024 behind us, we presented our key findings and sharpened our vision for 2025 – especially our positioning and the crucial role FTI will play in eHealth, as an intermediary and data analytics partner. Of course, no offsite is complete without some deep discussions, post-it battles, and the occasional “let’s park this for now” moment. 💡 But by the end of the day, we had a clear view of our priorities for 2025 and who we need to reach to make it happen. And after all that brainpower?
