The EU stands in partnership with Moldova and the Moldovan people.      And we want to bring the country closer to our Union as fast as possible.     Today, we welcome the political agreement between the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union on the Reform and Growth Facility for Moldova.     The agreed €1.9 billion Facility – the largest EU financial support package since Moldova's independence – is a key step in our partnership.      Combining increased financial assistance and reforms will accelerate Moldova`s progress on its EU path, foster economic convergence and integrate Moldova into our Single Market.     For a shared Europe of freedom, prosperity and stability. Over 59 million tonnes of food waste and 12.6 million tonnes of textile waste are produced yearly in the EU—a waste we simply can’t afford.
