About us

Research at Griffith is a research community space centred around work being undertaken at Griffith University, Australia, together with academic, industry, government and community collaborators. Through this page we celebrate the accomplishments of Griffith’s research staff and facilitate the translation of research findings, creation of connections between diverse stakeholders and the generation of research impact both within and beyond academia. At Griffith University, we are committed to creating a brighter future for all. Our five campuses are networked across Brisbane and the Gold Coast and are home to more than 20 leading research centres and institutes. We work together and with a variety of external stakeholders to drive multidisciplinary and innovative research with real-world impact. The team, led by Anna Kralj, are collaborating with the Etheridge Shire Council to deliver a $9.2 million Growing Regions Project. The project includes a revitalised Terrestrial Centre to house the Ted Elliot Minerals Collection, a Bird Watching Experience at Cumberland Dam, improved Copperfield Gorge access and interpretation, and an Indigenous Elders Trail. Special thanks to CEO Mark Watt, Mayor Barry Hughes, councilors and the Etheridge Shire community for the ongoing program of engagement and research with Griffith.
