The off-market takeover offer made by Zhaojin Capital for all of the issued shares in Tietto that Zhaojin does not already own is scheduled to close at 7.00pm (Sydney time) on 14 May 2024 (unless further extended). Zhaojin’s Offer price of $0.68 per share has been declared best and final and cannot be increased, and the Offer is now unconditional. As at 10 May 2024, Zhaojin had voting power of approximately 80.01% of Tietto. Tietto Directors consider that the risks associated with continuing to hold Tietto shares outweigh the advantages, and urge Tietto shareholders to either: - 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧 into the Offer; or - otherwise sell their Tietto shares on the ASX if the prevailing market price is not materially different to the Offer price, without delay and in any event before the Offer closes in order to receive a certain cash price for their Tietto shares and avoid the risks associated with being a minority shareholder in Tietto. In particular, whilst Zhaojin has stated an intention to maintain Tietto’s listing on ASX (subject to Tietto's continued compliance with the ASX Listing Rules) should it not be entitled to proceed to compulsory acquisition of the remaining Tietto shares on issue, there is a risk that Tietto may fail to meet the requirements of ASX to remain a listed entity given that Zhaojin’s voting power in Tietto is now approaching 80%. Further, even if Tietto remains listed on ASX, the liquidity of Tietto shares on ASX is likely to be materially adversely affected by the level of Zhaojin’s ownership interest in Tietto.

HomeCo Daily Needs REIT (ASX: HDN) today released its results for the full year ended 30 June 2024 delivering FFO/unit of 8.6 cents and DPU of 8.3 cents in line with guidance.    Today’s result underscores the strong rationale behind HDN’s Model portfolio strategy. Key highlights for the period include;  1) Continued strong operational performance with +4.0% comparable property NOI growth, >99% occupancy and >99% cash rent collections maintained since IPO.  2) Sector leading +6.0% positive releasing spreads underpinned by strategic network of sites located across metropolitan growth corridors.  3) Development pipeline upscaled to >$700m and expected to deliver compelling risk-adjusted returns.  4) Active asset recycling strategy with $420m of traditional LFR asset sales at blended yield ~6% with proceeds partially reinvested into $293m of high quality daily needs assets acquisitions at a ~7% target yield.    HDN CEO Sid Sharma said: “The strong set of FY24 results reflect our strategically located metropolitan assets which have limited exposure to cyclical and discretionary retail expenditure. The strong rental reversion we are achieving demonstrates the inherent value proposition of our real estate, which is predominately leased to leading national and ASX listed tenants.” FY25 guidance has been provided at FFO of 8.8cpu and DPU of 8.5cpu. West Asian sovereign funds pour billions in AI investments Artificial intelligence Photograph:(Agencies) West Asian sovereign funds are putting billions into AI startups, with hopes of diversifying their economies and reaping the gains from the ever-rising technology. As West Asian countries are splurging billions of dollars into artificial intelligence (AI) start-ups in the recent drastic shift toward technology investment, countries such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar are trying to diversify their economies by spending a serious amount of their oil earned wealth, to maintain a foothold in the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Investments by state-supported funds have leaped five-fold over the last year, according to Pitchbook. Hence, West Asian sovereign wealth funds are emerging as key players in Silicon Valley's AI ecosystem. As long as oil prices continue climbing, these nations can continue to amass more and more wealth, which they can invest heavily in promising AI ventures. "The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations are likely to surge their combined wealth is expected to rise from $2.7 trillion to $3.5 trillion by 2026," Goldman Sachs forecasts. Steps taken by funds to fuel growth  The Saudi Public Investment Fund has more than $925 billion in assets and stands out as one of the largest in the world. PIF has invested heavily under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's “Vision 2030”. Among its investments are a substantial stake in Uber and large investments in the LIV golf league and professional soccer. Further, UAE’s Mubadala has $302 billion under management, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority has $1 trillion under management. Qatar Investment Authority has $475 billion, while Kuwait’s fund has topped $800 billion. There are several strategic steps that these funds have taken recently, for example, MGX recently teamed up with BlackRock, Microsoft, and Global Infrastructure Partners to build AI infrastructure and will be raising as much as $100 billion in data centers and related projects. It was established only this year as an AI-only fund and positions itself to be a market leader through investments in AI in cooperation with its founding partners. The Saudi PIF also has negotiations ongoing concerning a $40 billion partnership with US-based capital firm Hennessy Capital, and it has also established its own dedicated AI fund named the Saudi Company for Artificial Intelligence or SCAI. Despite these problems, even investment in AI is not exclusive to West Asia. Other global players are also on the move; for instance, France's sovereign fund Bpifrance has signed up on 161 AI deals in the last four years while Singapore's Temasek has done 47.

Manulife led the market with a dominant 44.8% share of total net inflows ($5.16bn), equivalent to $45 of every $100 entering the MPF system. Other players, including HSBC, Sun Life, AIA, and BOCI-Prudential, achieved net inflow shares exceeding their market share, signaling growth in their MPF businesses. . While the data underscores industry performance, it prompts the question: have journalists overlooked the most critical insight from Q3’s fund flow trends? . . Being one of the first batch of #virtual insurers in Hong Kong, we never forget the importance of #humantouch, on the other hand it is the core value that we embrace. For the #CatExpo in early August, we welcomed two of our #Taiwan teammates joining, to have the #OneDegree experience with our customers-to-be, in real-life. One of them is Kim Chiu from our #Design Team. According to Kim, customer-centricity and attentiveness to their needs have always been at the heart of our team’s values. What excites her most about participating in the Cat Show is the chance to #connect with customers directly. When customers actively express interests in #petinsurance and share their pets' stories, it reinforces her belief in the value of our products and services. As a product designer, observing customer #interactions firsthand is both a rewarding challenge and a learning experience for Kim. A #seamless experience often goes unnoticed, and the most fascinating aspect of product design lies in the unexpected. The most memorable moment for Kim was conducting #user interviews, that this experience not only gave them insights into product’s usability but also revealed blind spots in some existing features. Kim as well expressed being #grateful to her boss for letting her involving in this #exploration. Without those interviews, relying solely on data wouldn’t have allowed the team to fully grasp the user’s #challenges, as they went beyond their existing experience framework. Kim would also like to thank her colleagues who supported her during the business trip to Hong Kong. Because of them, every day in Hong Kong was #fulfilling.
