Each week my partner and I ran hourly workshops each for years 3-6 at Pymble's Ladies College. We designed these workshops from scratch and presented the children will knowledge on various engineering based disciplines such as Computer, Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Civil and Petroleum. Each workshop also encompassed a small engineering and design challenge so that the children would have a hands on experience and actually apply the skills they have been taught.

• Showcased strong communication, presentation and engagement skills through 3 hours of creative engineering workshops and challenges.
• Developed the ability to adapt lessons according to the student’s learning ability while still challenging them.
• This resulted in the girls sparking a much greater interest and appreciation for STEM, particularly the engineering that surrounds them.
This was greatly rewarding and we were a catalyst for a more rigid form of student lead programs now held by the faculty of engineering. -

I collaborated with a team of electrical engineering students, industry & staff to encourage Women in Engineering. I also further cemented our slogan of Connect, Create & Change within TWEETs yearly activities. We did this by connecting students to each other, changing ideas around Women in Engineering for the better and finally, creating opportunities for our students and alumni to create lasting connections.

My team and I successfully began a new networking event for TWEET called TWEET Alumni Night which was aimed at connecting past and present female electrical engineers from the school of EE&T to give them an opportunity to network with industry professionals and also learn about various engineering career pathways.
My team and I also facilitated the very first TWEET Outreach Workshop in which we engaged over 30 students, at the annual Taste of Electrical Engineering Workshop at UNSW. We also engaged over 100 students of various age groups at our workshop at our Open Day Stall in 2017.
