“I got to work with Nav during his time as a tech lead at Sensand, where we worked on projects spanning data engineering, geospatial applications and satellite earth observation. Nav was an exceptional leader for our data and GIS team, with his unique mix of empathy, honesty, humour and pragmatism. Nav is also one of the most curious people I've worked with (and I came from acaedmia). Seriously, if you want a team member who strives to genuinely understand both the technical challenges you are facing, and more importantly, the real-world implications, then Nav is your guy. Already a skilled fullstack developer and data engineer, he also took to learning the ins and outs of spatial science and all of the quirks that come with working with spatial data with enthusiam. In exchange, Nav helped me to become a much more skilled programmer than I would have ever hoped to be working on my own. Given the oppertunity in the future, I would join a team with Nav at the helm in a heartbeat.”

Auckland CSS Meetup

Science and Technology
Auckland CSS is a meetup focused on growing the local front end community with topics ranging from CSS to UX and freelancing. The goal wasn’t to purely focus on CSS but use it as a common denominator for other front end topics.
Organising involved securing speakers, venues, sponsors and most importantly keeping the community inclusive, friendly and most of all engaged. -

Project Highlights:
Spearheaded an initiative to swap feature flag providers from Launch Darkly to Statsig. Working closely with product, data, and platform teams to ensure a seamless transition and enhance experimentation capabilities.
Collaborated across multiple platforms, including product, data, and platform teams, to develop comprehensive tooling solutions. This involved leveraging my expertise as an engineering domain expert in experimentation and my prior experience in Marketing.
Conducted workshops and training sessions to increase the adoption of the developed tooling.Other creatorsSee project -
Mindlab

Primarily a front-end developer, assisting the team at Pixel Fusion with their launch of a learning management platform for Mindlab. My role mainly involved creating UI components and integrating them into Laravel blade template files.

SprintZero website

SprintZero required a website for an upcoming UX conference and needed a website to be delivered in two days. This was a refreshing, back to basics, website build under a tight timeframe. Just plain HTML, CSS and JS.

Proflow (MVP, Pre-Seed)
-
Proflow is an early stage startup building management software. I assisted as one of two developers to help pivot from their previous model (as a project management software) to their new project, a management assistant SaaS. The tech stack comprised of Laravel and VueJS, hosted on AWS EC2 instances. I worked on the project as a full-stack dev and left after accomplishing my primary goals: launching an early beta release and setting up a deployment pipeline for the team to continue using.

Icehouse Ventures Portal
-
Assisted in building an investor portal for the Icehouse Ventures team. The tech stack was made up of Laravel, VueJS, InertiaJS and running off AWS EC2 instances. My primarily goal was to assist in the visualisation and document migration aspects of the project.
