Recent data from the Cradlepoint 2024 State of Connectivity survey, reveals startling insights about connectivity issues and security threats in Australian businesses. Around 57% of Australian firms reported experiencing 1-2 hours of downtime weekly due to fixed line/fibre network failure over the past year. Today, Pure Storage released the results of a survey on the impact of AI on energy and data amongst organisations in Australia and New Zealand. We commissioned this report from the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures. Transition to Windows 11 with Datacom. Datacom is ready to help Australian and New Zealand businesses upgrade to Windows 11 after signing an agreement with Microsoft to be a Strategic Refresh Initiative (SRI) partner for the local market. With Windows 10's end of support date of October 2025, all businesses should be planning to make the shift to Windows 11 ahead of that date to avoid any potential disruption and take advantage of greater integrations with the variety of Copilots available. The benefits of the new Operating System include advanced security features, better performance driven by specialised hardware such as Neural Processing Units (NPUs) that optimise AI tasks, improved collaboration, and enhanced productivity with Copilot+ PCs coming with built-in AI tools to streamline tasks and find information quickly.
