Google Cloud accidentally deleted a massive customer account, causing two weeks of downtime for UniSuper, an Australian pension fund that manages $135 billion worth of funds and has 647,000 members. I recently had the pleasure of speaking with ARN about the pivotal role integrators and vendors play in transforming government digital services. As governments in Australia navigate the crossroads of emerging technology, the need for a personalised and efficient citizen experience has never been more critical. In our discussion, I emphasized the importance of moving beyond legacy systems and adopting innovative to meet evolving citizen expectations. The key is a connected customer experience, much like what we see in the banking and telco industries. This approach will not only streamline services but also build trust and engagement with citizens. Looking ahead to 2025, I believe we will witness a fundamental shift in how citizens interact with government services.
