You're juggling multiple urgent changes. How do you decide what to prioritize first?
Prioritisation can feel like trying to ‘untangle spaghetti’ —it’s not just about logic; it’s about navigating real-life constraints, emotions, and energy. The Eisenhower Matrix is a fantastic tool, but when you’re in the thick of it, it can feel detached from the human side of decision-making. Instead, try asking yourself three simple questions: 1. What’s the cost of not doing this right now? (Think beyond deadlines—consider relationships, trust, or momentum.) 2. Who can help? (Delegation isn’t a weakness; it’s a skill.) 3. What will give me peace of mind today? (Even if it’s a small win, progress is progress.) Remember, you’re not a machine. Some days, you just need to focus on the next right thing. And that’s okay.

What are the best ways to build professional relationships in a virtual environment?
This is foundational to any relationship. Authenticity builds trust. Trust builds long term relationships. Spending time knowing who you are, your values and ‘deal breakers’ will make it much easier to attract like minded people. Trusting your gut and communicating with integrity, good manners and respect are important- always.

What are the best ways to build professional relationships in a virtual environment?
Understanding others and learning what drives them both professionally and personally is a wonderful way to build a relationship, irrespective of the medium. One of the most effective ways I’ve found is simply to be curious and interested in the people you want to meet. Most people are happy to share their experiences with you if you’re genuinely interested.

I find platforms such as LinkedIn are a great place to learn and expand my reference points and perspectives. I love reading other opinions from all walks of life because it gives me an insight into how people see the world. Contributing to conversations where you have knowledge or wisdom to share also helps lift your profile and without doubt increases your professional network. The world opens up to amazing people who want to connect!
