CrowdStrike, founded in 2011 by George Kurtz, is one of the great success stories of cybersecurity, now protecting the majority of the Fortune 500 with its AI-powered security platform, Falcon. As a business, Crowdstrike exhibits many of the characteristics that Square Peg's Global Tech Fund (GTF), our listed equities strategy, seeks out - a visionary founder, a leading product with a technical moat that gets better as it gets bigger, and a long forward runway of growth in an industry where its customers see it as mission-critical software. GTF investor David M. explores the compelling Crowdstrike story: from what makes cybersecurity such an attractive investment space and how the evolution of the 'threat cycle' shapes market dynamics, to Crowdstrike's rise to endpoint security leadership and its multifaceted growth opportunities ahead. And yes, we will cover the company's infamous July 19, 2024 incident, when 'Blue Screens of Death' afflicted millions of devices, including our view on how George and the company's response through that crucible moment reaffirmed our conviction. Liam Fuller — the 17-year-old Source co-founder backed by Square Peg (early investors of Canva and Airtwallex) — gives Business Post an exclusive interview alongside Square Peg’s Partner Paul Bassat on the $1.4M raise, cold-calling Australian VCs, and how Source is saving retailers millions. Liam talks US expansion: “I am determined to build this as a US-based business. Closer to the technology and massive market opportunity. The B2B procurement spend is upward of $20 trillion!” One of the first questions Paul Bassat, Partner of Square Peg and founder of one of Australia’s most successful startups SEEK, asked himself after meeting Liam: “Am I impressed because he’s 17? Or regardless of his age, that he’s just an unbelievably impressive founder? It’s very much the latter.” Listen to Liam and Paul’s exclusive interview with Charlie Taylor in the latest Business Post Connected podcast: https://lnkd.in/eTrJ76hw

When we first invested in Elad Walach, Michael B. Braginsky and Guy Reiner back in 2019, their mission was simple and audacious: harness AI to save lives. Six years on, and Aidoc’s clinical‑AI platform now helps physicians care for over 45 million patients annually across hundreds of hospitals worldwide. It’s why we’re thrilled to have co‑led Aidoc’s new $150 million round alongside General Catalyst with participation from NVentures (NVIDIA’s venture capital arm) - our fifth investment in the company since 2019. Can a viral photo and a cold email lead to a $2.1 million cheque? For Liam Fuller, the founder of an artificial intelligence software firm, it did. Fuller was 17 when he met Square Peg Capital's Paul Bassat on a short holiday to Australia from Dublin, quickly convincing Bassat to invest. Fuller's entrepreneurial streak began with selling wallets made of duct tape in primary school and trading Pokemon cards. This year, he quit high school before taking his final exams. We're thrilled to have led Source's US$1.4 million Pre-seed round. Source is an agentic AI procurement platform for retailers on a mission to address the estimated US$1 trillion annual cost of out-of-stock inventory. The brainchild of Irish-Australian teen Liam Fuller, at just 17, Liam is the youngest founder Square Peg has backed to date (Liam turned 18 last month). Liam spent a few months in Australia earlier this year, visiting his paternal grandparents, and used the trip to cold-email potential local investors, including Paul Bassat. Source’s engineering is led from Paris, France, by co-founder Yoan Gabison. The injection of capital will expand engineering and fund US pilots ahead of Liam's move to Silicon Valley later this year. We're not just excited by Liam and Yoan's current vision for Source; we're excited by their ability to navigate and adapt as the business evolves.
