New research released by the Clean Energy Council today shows that close to 70 per cent of Australians support the need to build more renewable energy projects. We welcome the new campaign that tackles misinformation around Australia's transition to a clean energy future. We're excited to be getting on with the job, building projects that not only offer clean energy sources, but provide local benefits and economic opportunities in the regions they're located. We are proud to be working with Dubbo Regional Council to develop temporary accommodation for workers on renewable energy projects in the region. Given our projects will involve the employment of many people, understanding accommodation options is crucial for their success. This includes investing in enabling infrastructure that supports the region’s future population growth without burdening the existing private rental and accommodation market. Creating legacy opportunities is an important part of our commitment to benefit sharing with the regions where we develop and operate. Squadron Energy is committed to being a good neighbour and we’re thankful for the opportunity to work with Dubbo Regional Council on this important project. Great news from today's Clean Energy Council report, showing that Australia has had its best year for large-scale renewable energy investment since 2018, with $9 billion in total capital investment committed to projects in 2024. We're proud to be contributing to the rollout of renewables. In 2024 we officially started work on Uungula Wind Farm, received approval from the NSW Independent Planning Commission for Spicers Creek Wind Farm, and reached the halfway mark at Clarke Creek Wind Farm. And we have a lot more to achieve this year! Read more from the report: https://bit.ly/42Tjxct

Squadron Energy welcomes the Queensland Government’s requirement for new wind energy developments to consult with local councils, communities and stakeholders. “As an industry, we need to lift our game. There’s no doubt that in the way we engage with community we all need to step up and for those that can’t make it, they need to step out. “We shouldn’t be afraid to hold ourselves accountable in how we engage with communities and develop and manage our assets." - Squadron Energy CEO Rob Wheals Read more: https://bit.ly/3Q25d9O
