    This 19 year old founder turned rejection into a $100M+ business in just two years—here’s how he did it: In 2022, Liam Millward was told his startup idea wasn’t his “life’s work” and got rejected by the best accelerator. But he didn’t just take the rejection and move on. He framed the rejection letter, put it on his desk, and used it as fuel ⛽️. After another near death experience, Instant raised $20M, went from $0 to $1M in ARR in 6 months, and is now signing $2M in revenue—every single month only 12 months on. 🚀 How? Here’s what made Instant unstoppable: 1/ Speed is their DNA. They called their company "Instant" for a reason. Every decision, from product pivots to sales, is designed to maximize speed. Liam’s mantra? "Do everything, and do it fast." - 1-week to book their first customer meeting. - 4 days to onboard new clients. - They even customize products overnight if it helps win a deal. 2/ Revenue obsession over product perfection. Liam learned early: a great product isn’t enough. “We were too focused on building a product people liked. What we needed was a product that drove revenue.” Every feature, every decision is now measured by one question: Does this make money for our customers? The North Star incentive for Instants e-commerce customers. 3/ They ruthlessly focused on one product. For months, the Instant team split focus between two products. It was chaos: sales teams didn’t know what to sell, engineers were stretched too thin, and customers were confused. Liam made the hard call: drop one product completely and go all-in on “Audiences.” The result? - Customers tripled. - Revenue skyrocketed. - Focus made their team became unstoppable. 4/ Relentless customer focus. When a customer wanted a feature to improve email retargeting, Instant delivered—and saw massive results. That “checkbox feature” turned into a core product that’s now on track to do $8M ARR this year. 5/ High-performance culture without managers. Instant runs a flat, IC-driven sales team. No managers. No slow approvals. Just a team of hungry, competitive salespeople closing $1M in deals every 90 days. Their secret? - Daily check-ins. - Clear goals. - Real-time dashboards showing exactly who’s winning. Liam's mindset? Failure isn’t an option. “We don’t fail as a company.
