Guardrail 5 of the Australian Voluntary AI Safety Standard explains why people should manage and oversee AI systems. Organisations should enable people to step in to guide or correct the system's actions if necessary. This may mean giving them the authority to intervene and relevant training, tools and resources. You’ll also need to develop monitoring processes and documents. If your organisation is procuring an AI system or tool, you should develop and agree a governance and monitoring plan with the supplier. This approach will help prevent unintended consequences and ensure AI systems act in line with human values and ethical standards. Guardrail 5 is about enabling human control and meaningful human oversight over your AI systems. These events connect small to medium enterprises (SMEs) with local AI companies, helping them adopt AI. (ARM Hub AI Adopt Centre) on helping SMEs organise their data for AI adoption - Professor Dana Kulic (Monash University) on the vital role of humans in robotics  - Jeff Bethell (C.R.Kennedy & Company - Geospatial Division) showcasing the Unitree Go2 robots.
