Better than __________.

About us

Superboost exists to raise the bar in sports drinks for the next generation of Aussie athletes. The brand was created by 14 athletes who recognised that the most popular sports drinks in Australia had waaaay too much sugar for everyday athletes. Superboost Sport has more electrolytes, less sugar and is made with only natural colours & flavours to set a new standard for sports drinks for our homegrown athletes. Superboost was created by; Patty Mills, Touk Miller, Ryan Papenhuyzen, Katie Brennan, Jess Sergis, Sam Walker, Jamie-Lee Price, Matthew Owies, Changkuoth "CJ" Jiath, Dejan "DJ" Vasiljevic, Joe Ingles, Kyle Adnam, TJ Hendy & Peter Hatzoglou. It is available now in Woolworths & 7-Eleven stores nationwide.

Updates

  • A Monday night in Victoria. A 'Public Holiday'. Fitting for the new mantra. Better than __________. It’s time for the new standard in sports drinks in Australia. Better hydration.  Better performance.  Better support for athletes who are shaping the future of Australian sport. “Better than ________” isn’t just a tagline- it’s a mindset.  Because there is always something to beat.  And the best part? You get to decide what that is.

  • With the silly season on us, we've been thrilled with the launch of NEW Superboost Rapid into 7-Eleven stores around the country. High in electrolytes, low in sugar, natural colours and flavours, as well as performance vitamins - everything party-goers need before and after a big night of Xmas celebrations to get hydrated. Fast. Stay safe and have a wonderful Christmas season from the team at Superboost!

Tom Phillips - co-founder of the Superboost range of sports drinks - has had his fair share of narrow losses on the sporting field (amongst the many triumphs!). But not many have been closer than the 2018 AFL Grand Final. Great to see him having a little fun with that heart-breaking result while celebrating the Australian cultural phenomenon that is AFL Grand Final Day. Check out this promotion on Instagram to Superboost your grand final day with $1,000! We love sport. #drinksuperboost #sportsdrink #performbetter

  • Sport and healthier living is personal for us. We're owned by 15 athletes spread all over the country. One of them, NBL basketballer Kyle Adnam is now based in Cairns taking on NBL25 with the Taipans. Changing states is just part of the game for professional athletes in Australia. But it can never be an excuse. It was great to shoot with him during the week, and hear first-hand how excited he is by the new state, new team and new challenge. No matter where he is, of course, we'll be right there with him as one thing doesn't change in the lead-up to the season: the importance of hydration. Superboost has double the electrolytes compared to the main sports drinks, natural colours and flavours and only a fraction of the sugar. Proudly owned by athletes like Kyle Adnam.

  • "What you appreciate, appreciates," says TJ Hendy philosophically as I get the privilege to speak to him over the phone about his approach to life and competition. For most of us, the closest we'll get to being an Ironman is eating a bowl of Nutri-Grain with just a hint of milk. But for TJ it is the culmination of years of hard work on the beach and facing into the waves at Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club. Naturally, TJ has a great appreciation for health and nutrition to maintain his peak performance, which is why he is one of the 15 athlete-owners of the Superboost range of sports drinks. Double the electrolytes of regular sports drinks and only a fraction of the sugar. TJ loves meeting customers in Queensland and talking all things health, fitness and Superboost as an Ironman, Dad and ocean lover. Thanks TJ, we appreciate you.

  • We throw the word "elite" around a lot in sports to describe athletes. Meet kamal Ibrahim. Kamal migrated from Ethiopia with his family in 2003 at the age of 12 to escape civil war and conflict. At that time, he spoke no English and found it difficult settling into life in Australia. He turned to his passion – soccer – as a way of communicating and connecting into his new community. He has played A-League football and is now settled in Victoria's Premier League but his real impact is in founding One Ball which provides opportunities for kids of all ages (especially from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds) to build confidence and resilience through football. Today, he ran a family day with One Ball at Port Melbourne Soccer Club which Superboost was proud to support. Kids matches covered the field with their smiles from corner flag to corner flag. Well done, Kamal - you are elite.

One of these fellas is an elite athlete that performs under the highest of pressure and entertains thousands of customers (Christopher Potter)... and the other is Peter Hatzoglou (right). Peter is one of the 15 athlete owners of the range of Superboost sports drinks. At 25yo he has already won a BBL final with the Perth Scorchers and is acutely aware that to get the most out of your body you need to put the best things in, but you don't want to compromise on taste. Popular products like Gatorade contain 36g of sugar (almost as much as a can of Coke) and have only 441mg of electrolytes which is based on an outdated understanding of what athletes need. Hatz is holding the Superboost Apple Guava flavour which has only 0.6g of sugar and 1,000mg of electrolytes. He relies on the benefits of Superboost for his career and long may it continue - look out for him this season playing for the Hobart Hurricanes. Thanks Hatz, you legend!
