What a delicious way to wrap up CIIE for another year! 😋 DSD proudly supported 26 of South Australia's premium food and beverage producers to participate at the 7th China International Import Expo, the country's largest international trade show. This year also marked a significant milestone for DSD, as we designed and constructed our own custom South Australia pavilion, showcasing our state's premium seafood, wine, dairy and agricultural producers. After 6 months of extensive groundwork from our dedicated South Australia and China in-market teams, we were ready for action, on the ground to showcase our state's offerings to the 852,000 visitors through the doors. South Australia has been crowned the best state to do business - for the second year running 🏆 🙌 The Business Council of Australia's Regulation Rumble report found that our state has the most supportive settings for business in the nation, driven by measures including lower payroll taxes, lower property charges and less voluminous business licensing. This week, our Department of State Development delivered the successful ‘India Technology Opportunity Session’ in #Adelaide, an initiative aimed at bridging the India opportunity literacy gap in #SouthAustralia. This session marks a vital step in achieving the ambitious goals outlined in our India Roadmap and Strategy. It was inspiring to see the collective effort of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the Government of South Australia, the Australia India Business Council, the world’s largest technology incubator T-Hub, prominent Venture Capitalist VU Venture Partners, major Indian investor Zoho and our homegrown technology leaders AICRAFT and TAV Systems. Together, we worked towards a common goal: unlocking the immense potential of the India technology opportunity. With its $245 billion technology market and the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, India offers unparalleled opportunities for South Australian businesses. However, the market’s complexity often creates barriers. This session provided invaluable insights and a platform to explore partnerships in critical technologies such as #AI, #MedTech, #FinTech, and #renewable #energy.
