This year, Beef Australia’s triennial event was broadcasted live worldwide for the first-time, showcasing all the excitement and action of Beef2024 across seven free channels. We’re thrilled to see the Rockhampton region reached record-breaking visitation for the year ending June 2024, with Beef2024 being a major factor contributing to its success. Domestic (+21.6%) and International (+33.4%) visitors grew exponentially, with visitor expenditure also increasing by 19.9%. This is a great result for the region, coming off-the-back of Beef Australia's economic impact announcement where Beef2024 contributed to over 110,000 visitor nights in the Greater Rockhampton Region alone, and created a direct and incremental expenditure impact for the Greater Rockhampton Region of $102.0 million. Hot off the press 📣 Beef Australia has further cemented its status as the largest beef industry event in the Southern Hemisphere, with Beef2024 setting a new economic impact record. The results of an independent report reveal that the already record-breaking event generated $102 million in direct and incremental expenditure for the Greater Rockhampton Region and $69.6 million for Queensland. Beef Australia Chairman Bryce Camm said the results of the independent study are simply outstanding. “Beef2024 has further solidified its status as a key driver of economic activity, not just for the Australian beef industry, but for the Greater Rockhampton Region and the rest of the state,” Mr. Camm said.
