The Industry Growth Program is supporting a further 5 Aussie businesses with $2.5 million to help commercialise their innovative projects and grow their businesses. Allegro Energy is one of the 5 businesses receiving support and will use the funding to start the mass manufacture of a new type of battery electrolytes to support energy storage systems. Allegro’s electrolyte is used in their redox flow batteries which support long-duration energy storage. Other businesses receiving grants improving drilling systems, building pilot weed control technology and to transition cultivated meat research to commercial production. The Industry Growth Program supports startups and small and medium enterprises with expert advice to help them commercialise their innovative products, processes and services, and significantly grow their businesses. Innovate to Grow – Recycling and Circular Economy: Innovate to Grow is a free online program that helps innovative start-ups and SMEs take their novel ideas and turn them into an R&D opportunity. Throughout the 8-week program SME participants are supported with researcher connections, a self-paced learning platform, networking opportunities, guest speakers and expert feedback. Now’s your chance to apply for Cooperative Research Centre Projects (CRC-P) with applications for Round 17 open. Funding of $100,000 up to $3 million over 3 years is available through the CRC-P program. Applications from all industry sectors are welcome, particularly industries identified as priority areas to be supported by the National Reconstruction Fund. CRC-P grants support short term industry-led collaborations between industry entities and research organisations to develop important new technologies, products and services.
