Aug 5-7, 2022 | Austin Southpark Hotel
We had an amazing time! Over 100 writers and artists participated, and about 170 panels, discussions, kaffeeklatsches, and more!
We wish everyone the best and look forward to seeing you next year.
Volunteer! Help Make this Happen!
Can you spare some time to volunteer? The convention is even more fun when you help make it happen!
Be Sure to Review Our Health & Safety Policies
FIRST: Before you come to the convention, please take a few minutes to review our Code of Conduct. We want everyone to have a safe experience at ArmadilloCon.
NEXT: Prepare for check-in by reviewing our Health Policy! It is the same as last year: (A) show a negative test (last 3 days) or vaccination record to claim your badge, and (B) wear a mask in the convention rooms.
If all this doesn’t work for you, we certainly understand. We hope you will check back in 2023, when we can hope that less caution will be needed!
We had no reported COVID cases after the con last year, and hope to do well again this year. We will have disposable masks available if needed. We will have hand sanitizer. We have a high quality air purifier for the con suite. Let’s do our best to keep ourselves and our community safe.

It’s a Mini-ACL for Readers & Writers!
ArmadilloCon is like no other convention. Half the people you meet are writers, from national and international superstars to enthusiastic new and developing writers, and doing many kinds of writing — novels, short fiction, screenwriting, games, poetry, and even at least one NFT game.
We have artists and makers. This year, you might try your hand at crafting by making a tiara with award-winning artist Sara Felix.
We get together and talk about stories in all mediums, the art that moves us, and get inspired too create our own stories and art by communing with our fellow creatives. Join us!
