Shamazing!! // pls read 🙏🙏

Wow this app is so good that whenever I hear a song that I already know I still Shazam it because it’s the coolest thing ever!! So for example say you’re in your car listening to the radio and a song comes on that you have never heard before but you LOVE the sound of it and you really want to know what it’s called or if the singer is on tour near you so you Shazam it and all your music dreams come true
Overall THIS APP IS AMAZING 🤩 So in ABBA’s world thank you for the music for giving it to me

Became completely unusable without explanation.

This app was REALLY good when I first got it, up until it stopped working randomly. Instead of recognisig the song it would turn on and then immediately turn itself off without input. I tried looking up if I had possibly hit a limit or something but I haven't. I cleared my history, I restarted my device, I redownloaded/updated the app, I gave the app permission to use everything (microphone, audio, anything I could possibly give it access to), I did everything recommended on the help page on the website and nothing worked. The only thing I have left to do is contact support, but I doubt they will be able to do anything because I have already tried everything they would recommend.
This app was super good and I don't know what to do. The app hasn't told me what the problem was and I'm not wasting my breath trying to find out anymore.

Used to be great

Last few months there have been a lot of glitches. Shazam library keeps reappearing in my Apple library despite me removing these tracks several times. We all ‘Shazam’ random tracks and might then listen to them later and realise ‘no, I don’t really need that song in my life’ Well Shazam thinks you do. Unless you go into Shazam and delete the Shazam entry it will keep adding historical Shazam’d tracks to your Apple library. Forever! Also there is a lot of questionable background battery activity. I do not have Auto Shazam activated yet my Battery app is showing significantly high battery usage for this app. Shazam used to be great. Something has gone seriously wrong over the last few months.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback! If the ‘Auto-add Shazams to Apple Music’ option is turned on in Shazam Settings, your recent Shazams will be kept in sync with your ‘My Shazam Tracks’ playlist in Apple Music. This means that songs that have been deleted from the playlist will reappear, unless they are also deleted from your Shazam Library. If you don’t want this to happen, turn off the ‘Auto-add Shazams to Apple Music’ option. If you still want to add songs to Apple Music playlists, use the ‘Add To’ buttons and choose your preferred Apple Music playlist. The Shazam Team
