The Bingo Theory unites us all. Men are not from Mars and Women are not from Venus. We are all from Planet Earth.

The traditional view of masculine and feminine energy is very black and white. If you are a woman, you are considered to be feminine, and similarly if you are man- you are considered to be masculine. This outdated and inadequate mindset has lead to a tremendous imbalance both internally in our lives, as well as externally in our world.

The Bingo Theory breaks through this traditional gender-polarized idea of man and woman, by providing a new fresh view and understanding of masculine and feminine energies and the important role both of these energies play in our lives.

Every single human on this planet has two energies living within them: the masculine and the feminine. The masculine energy helps us to operate in the outer world; it makes us strong, independent, and confident. The feminine energy, on the other hand, helps us love and connect to others. It’s what makes us creative and intuitive.

In this book you will learn how to balance the masculine and feminine energies within you so that you can be a Bingo. What is a Bingo? A Bingo is a winning combination of both of masculine and feminine energies. This inner balance is crucial in order to have a better relationship with yourself, attract your perfect romantic partner, improve your existing relationship, as well as have a fulfilling career.

In this book you will:

• Discover the groundbreaking medical research that has proven that, biologically, we are all a blend of masculine and feminine strengths. • Take a quiz that helps you to determine if your strength energy is masculine or feminine. This alone is a huge eye opener. It will allow you to see clearly what amazing strengths you posses and will also highlight the areas you need to work on. • Learn simple, actionable tips to help you balance your energies. • Learn how to attract a Bingo relationship if you are single. • Learn how to transform your existing relationships (whether romantic or otherwise) using the principles of masculine and feminine energies.

When I was in the fourth grade, my teacher asked to meet with my parents to tell them about my horrendous performance in my math

When I was in the fourth grade, my teacher asked to meet with my parents to tell them about my horrendous performance in my math
When I was in the fourth grade, my teacher asked to meet with my parents to tell them about my horrendous performance in my math class. She concluded that my poor performance was due to a lack of effort. But the truth was that I just didn’t like numbers. The class wasn’t interesting. It wasn’t open to interpretation. It didn’t play up my strengths. From that day on, I made a decision. I would never try to excel in math again. I didn’t like feeling like I wasn’t good enough. So now, I use a calculator for most transactions, skip over numbers when reading any news story and never, EVER take on the task of figuring out who pays what when the check comes. In her book, The Bingo Theory, Mimi Ikonn encourages the idea that while acknowledging our strengths is an important step, the next step should be to leave those strengths alone and focus on how to fix our weaknesses. This idea seems simple, but it caught me off guard. So, someone like me should’ve chosen a career like accounting or engineering? We almost always pick our career paths based on what we’re good at. We look into fields where we can display our greatest strengths and hence, excel. Ikonn argues that if our goal is to reach balance in this lifetime, the perfect bingo, then we should be constantly looking for the opposite of our strengths. This idea applies to our own lives and careers, and also when looking for a life partner.Ikonn divides personalities into two types, feminine strength people and masculine strength people. The general idea is that masculine strength people are go-getters, ambitious, practical and tend to be money smart. Feminine strength people are feelers. They are more creative and great communicators, but they aren’t high achievers.I identified as a Feminine Strength Female. I related with many of the examples that Ikonn uses to describe those who are Feminine Strength. Did I often avoid dealing with money? Yes. Did I enjoy expressing my feelings? Yes. Do my friends think I’m boring because I spend too many hours people-watching in coffee shops? I do all of that. The book was empowering. It has an optimistic view on both personality types and the potential for every one of us to be a perfect bingo. It asserts that our dominant positive traits are set and secured. They have been in us all our lives and can’t be taken away. The positive traits that we lack from the opposite personality type can be worked on, especially if we surround ourselves with people whose mere existence is a reminder to be kinder, more focused, more creative or whatever it may be that we lack in our own personality type.Although I tried to go into reading this book with no opinions, I obviously wasn’t completely shielded from my own biases. I’m a huge fan of the author. I watch all of her YouTube content and in a sense feel like I know her. When I see someone lead a successful life and give so much value to her following, I like to take her work as a tool that will help me emulate what I admire about her. This doesn’t mean that this book was without flaws. Many felt that the examples Ikonn used for each personality type were extreme and stereotypical. Some felt that the book was misogynistic, with more desired traits being accredited to “masculine” type personalities. My guess is that the reason Ikonn’s examples were so extreme is because they existed in order to portray each personality type in its purest form. She mentions several times in the book that not every trait she mentions for each personality type will apply to every single person within that type. We were all conditioned through out our lifetimes to be a mixture between the two personality types. However, one type is still and will always be more dominant than the other.Feminine Strength Females are described as people who lack ambition, people who didn't want to move up. In my experience with myself and all the women I know who have feminine strength, the issue was never a lack of ambition. I think all of us have goals and ambition. The problem is that we lack the skills to plan and organize our path to achieve our goals.I would love to meet the author to ask her questions that might have cleared up some of the negative feedback. Would she go back and change some of the vocabulary used to describe each personality type? Would she alter the examples to portray each type? How will both positive and negative feedback affect her writing style for her next book?Overall, I enjoyed the book. I applaud non-writers who take on the task of sharing their experience in written form. I would like to advise prospective readers that while The Bingo Theory isn't perfect, we should strive to always take the positive in everything we encounter and leave out the negative. Even if you disagree with many of the examples in the book, there is surely something very powerful that can be learned. Overlooking it would be a loss. I also appreciate the timing of the release of the book. It came in to my life at a time when I was undergoing a lot of changes and it was the confirmation I needed to be sure that these changes were necessary. Thank you!!

I would like to take an opportunity to write an honest opinion about the book. First, I would like to appreciate Mimi Ikonn for bringing out a such a beautiful awareness into this world. It appears as a subtle thought about balancing both the masculine and feminine energies within our selves and in the world but it such a powerful thought and awareness which would be wonderful if all of us actually try to balance both these energies for the greater good for ourselves and for the society too. I want to break it down to few points which I absolutely loved about the book.
    1. I would like to talk about the cover page where it shows a beautiful blend of red aura which is all about powerful, energetic, grounded, realistic, active, competitive, confidence energies with the blue aura which is about caring, loving, intuitive, open, creative, nurturing, communicative, generous, fear of self expression energies which when balanced will attain the pure bliss of Intuitive, visionary, futuristic, idealistic, artistic, magical energies to violet aura which is the greatest goal in our lives to achieve.
    2. I really liked the way Mimi weaved around the thought so beautifully in explaining the essence of understanding our own strength energy and adapting to counter energy in a most practical illustration. The best part I personally liked is the book does not allow you to fight against your own strength energy in fact it makes you aware of how beautiful the energy as in and the different ways to start explore the other energy which we are not aware but inherently we possess it.
    3. I absolutely liked the different case studies used in the book. Each case study has it's own unique message about how to balance both the masculine and feminine energies. And, at the end of every chapter talking about how important these energies are to us and how to be aware and how important to balance both the energies. I did not felt like I was reading a book. In fact, I felt like having a deep conversation with someone.
    4. I liked the illustration of Dr. Bolte Taylor's fascinating TED talk. It is such an inspiring talk for those who are struggling to balance both the feminine and masculine energies.
    5. I loved about the greater Bingo part. Let me explain why I absolutely loved it. It talks about how imbalance the world is with just one energy dominating and causing so much chaos to every being on this beautiful planet. It is our responsibility to find peace and balance within ourselves and also helping others equally as our lives and how to care about people, animals, nature .
I would once again thank and appreciate Mimi and her team for their beautiful work to bringing out such an influential thought which all of us should be aware constantly be working to achieve that balance and to lead a blissful life.
    Keep up the Good work!!!!
    Lots of Love to Mimi!!!!

This book does a great job at being a dating book, but a phenomenal job at being a people book. I think everyone should have to read it to understand their fellow human being just a little bit better.

At first, I didn't think I could gain much insight from it because my relationship with my boyfriend is already pretty great. We don't have any big problems that I feel we need to work on - simply little fights here and there. As for others, I get along with most people.

As I started reading, I learned that I was a masculine strength female (not really a surprise) and he was a feminine strength male (more of a surprise). I'm very goal oriented, entrepreneurial, and expect others to follow my lead. My boyfriend is more relaxed, creative, and thoughtful. As I was reading the stories in this book, I realized how much I needed someone like him in my life to balance me out and to help me become a "bingo" - someone who is balanced in both male & female energies.

Mimi includes stories and descriptions of each male/female masculine/feminine combination and as I was reading Chris's section (the feminine strength male) I was literally screaming and texting my boyfriend because the characteristics were matching him perfectly. It made complete sense to me and some of the issues we had been having were described right there in perfect detail. And when I read further into the masculine strength female section, I realized how similar I was to Chloe. And it made me understand further why I have so many feminine strength girl friends (to help bring out my girly side) and why I fell in love with a feminine strength male instead of a masculine strength male (I need someone who is caring and allows me to express my more dominant side).

I truly think everyone should read this book to not only understand the person they are dating, but to understand themselves better. Because you always have to start with yourself first. Mimi does a great job of explaining that we are not 100% masculine nor are we 100% feminine. We are a blend of both and we need to embrace our strengths, and work on developing the other side of ourselves to became a bingo all on our own. Once we've taken care of ourselves, we can begin to attract other bingos to us.

And every thing in this book is actionable. This isn't just a scientific theory book. It talks about real people with their own unique stories and strengths. No matter who you are, you can find ways to balance your energy and I guarantee you will relate to Mimi's descriptions of her friends.

The only negative thing I have to say about this book is that I really wish Mimi went more in-depth with her relationship with Alex. They have such a loving and honest relationship that I simply wanted to know more. Perhaps there could be an expanded edition in the future? (:

    Great book. Definitely will recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bingo Theory is a great insight into how we're composed as human beings
Reviewed in Canada on July 14, 2016
The Bingo Theory is a great insight into how we're composed as human beings. The book takes us on a journey of self-identification with the use of testimonies and relatability. It uncovers our darkest secrets, weaknesses and habits that we don't even want to admit to ourselves. The book also lets us in on the mindset of those we surround ourselves with. From relatives, to coworkers, to the family doctor, it gives us a glimpse into the internal challenges that our peers may be overcoming. Through the many chapters focused on divergent personalities, the Bingo Theory allows us to be deeply connected to the people on our journeys but it also empowers us with wisdom and knowledge to be better people. It's a great book for anyone, regardless of age, gender, race or sexual orientation. If you want to have a Bingo career, a Bingo relationship or find your inner Bingo which will enable you to gain other Bingos, you've found the right book.

First of all, I’d like to thank you Mimi for your big work on this beautiful and bright book, which makes me more and more believe in myself and my power and energy in my inside. During those two days, when I was reading “The bingo theory”, I was like a sponge and I wanted to take all the information into myself. It’s paradoxically, because all those tips, which are mentioned in the book, look so simple and clear BUT… people are affected by others opinions, suggestions or society, in general. We don’t know who we truly are. And this is so sad! In this book you can find simple tips, how to activate your specific strength – for example, have a plan, meditate, sometimes just spent time with yourself (alone) or be in nature. Personally, almost one year, I am daily practicing meditation and every evening, before I go to sleep, I always (always!!!) thanking for everything that I have – for food on my table; for parents and really good friends around me; for truly LOVE that I have almost 8 years; for the feeling that I can see, hear, touch, listen and etc. This is so simple, but we forget about those gifts and every single day we trying to fight for a better job or money, and we forget that real joy is here, near us.
I loved notion in “The bingo theory”: “Ying is water, Yang is sun. The Yang’s sun is a powerful source of energy and it gives us life. But without Ying’s water there would be drought and everything would die.” Exactly are with our inner peace and strength. And the most important thing is to start from yourself. In my opinion, the big mistake is to try to change your love or other person. No one else can’t do this, except you.
I really liked, that in the beginning, I found particular persons with examples of four strengths. That was like introduction about what will be talking in “The bingo theory”. Also, I want to mention, that after I took a quiz, it has revealed that my birthright strength is masculine strength, but I also have a feminine strength features in my inside. Like it was always mentioned in the book – it’s very important to understand that YOU HAVE TO BALANCE BOTH YOUR MASCULINE AND FEMININE ENERGIES.
Another thing, which makes me happy, that in the last two chapters are mentioned the careers (job types) for feminine and masculine strength people. I found, that for me, as masculine strength person, fits works which involves creative or social works, works with animals or children and etc. I have never thought about these things. That was like a sign. Personally, for about 6 months, day after day, I always thinking what is my real path in this world, what’s my purpose? Yes, I have work, but I don’t like it. I can’t feel joy or passion. With all my soul, minds and inner voice I have feeling, that I don’t want to live my life in a job, which doesn’t make me feel happy. And I believe in all of us the same. We all came here TO DO SOMETHING GOOD in this world. And in the book was mentioned one well-aimed question: “The question to always ask about any job <…>: “Does this make me feel good? If it doesn’t, it might be time to change things up.”. And my answer was no because my job doesn’t make me feel OK (!). It doesn’t drive me crazy. Those directions opened my eyes. I realized, that I need that type of job, which would bring out my feminine energy and I have never ever thought about it.
With all my heart, I highly recommended read this book for those, who believe in magic, who believe in dreams and positive minds and for those who are ready not to just dream, but also take the action to make those inner willingness become real. I am taking an action now and it doesn’t matter if those actions are like the baby steps… I truly believe that one day I will make it. And you will make. And we all will make it to live our own lives as we want – with the open heart, positive minds and love. Like individuals (with our particular energies), but as one fit.
P.S. I’m sorry for mistakes in my review, but English is not my mother language :) Have a good reading everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing lecture
Reviewed in Spain on July 20, 2016
I've just finished the book and I'm so impressed by the way Mimi put in such easy words a super deep theory. First of all I have to say that being an spanish girl (with not a lot of knowledge of english) it was a pretty easy lecture, I've apreciated so much because I wanted so hard yo read it in the original lenguatge.
Diving into the book I loved the way its writted, syep by step she runs to all and comes into you easily. I'm so agree with what she explains, it blows my mind this way to see people and the world, and I believe that it's a necessity for all of us, for our own happines, to be more balanced. I was raised in a family who practice de seitai way of life and it has a lot in common with all of the energies, I was happy to see that there's more people that sees the world like I see it.
I highly recoment this lecture, this small step can change a lot of things in you.
