We are excited to share that the World Economic Forum, in partnership with the Ministry Of Economy, UAE (MoE) and Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), is launching its first TradeTech Regulatory Sandbox to drive regulatory innovation in cross-border digital trade! After a rigorous selection process, we are thrilled to introduce the eight pioneering companies that have been selected for the first cohort of the Sandbox. These companies will work closely with regulators in the UAE to test and refine solutions that address key challenges in global trade finance: 🏆 Credore™️ (India): Digitalizing trade documentation & enabling trade finance using MLETR guidelines. 🏆 Enigio (Sweden): Facilitating digital trade transactions, including Letters of Credit & Guarantees, with MLETR compliance. 🏆 Jetstream (Ghana): Improving credit decisioning for UAE-Africa trade through digitized Bills of Lading & financial records. 🏆 IOTA (Germany): Tokenizing KYC & digital identity processes for trade finance using DLT. 🏆 Empeiria (UAE): Developing a blockchain-based Self-Sovereign Identity solution for verifiable data & decentralized credential management. 🏆 Medad Holding LLC Holdings (UAE): Building a stablecoin for seamless cross-border payments, addressing currency challenges in key regions. 🏆 haifin, an e& enterprise company (UAE): Digitizing bank guarantees using blockchain & root hash technology for enhanced efficiency. 🏆 VOY Finance (Estonia): Connecting DeFi liquidity with digital lending & settlement for tokenized net-zero trade, with a focus on SME inclusion. 💡 Tech Enabler: The Sandbox will be powered by NayaOne, which will provide the digital sandbox environment, enabling seamless testing and regulatory experimentation.
