Fuxing EMU train to connect Korla, Hami in Xinjiang
(ECNS) -- The Fuxing EMU train will begin service on Friday, connecting Korla City and Hami City in northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on Friday, according to the official WeChat account of Xinjiang Railway.
The Fuxing CR200J EMU will travel a one-way distance of 729 kilometers, accommodating up to 720 passengers. The journey will take approximately six hours.
It will depart Korla at 9:00 a.m. and arrive in Hami at 3:12 p.m., and return to Korla at 10:42 p.m. from Hami at 4:20 p.m. The train will make stops at stations of Yanqi Hui Autonomous County and Turpan.
The introduction of the Fuxing EMU will shorten travel time by up to 57 minutes from Korla to Hami and up to 1 hour and 26 minutes in the opposite direction.
