Responsible Electronics Recycling in the state of Maryland.

We are pleased to offer the citizens of Maryland proper disposal of their unwanted electronics in support of your state Electronic Recycling Program. It is important that these devices be managed at the end of their useful lives in such a way as to prevent harm to the environment, the communities in which the devices are disposed and the workers processing the equipment. At the same time, these devices contain materials that can be used in the manufacturing of new products. Material such as steel, aluminum, plastic, copper and precious metals can be separated and returned to the marketplace, giving them new life in new products.

Everyone should be concerned with the security of the data that may be contained on your various electronic devices. To assure that no loss of data is possible; data storage devices should be destroyed. The Department of Defense (DoD) no longer lists data wiping as an approved method of safely removing data from your data-storing devices. The National Security Agency (NSA) requires degaussing (using a machine that produces an intense magnetic field to make retrieving data from the storage device impossible) or physical destruction as the only acceptable methods to assure complete data security. All products that are returned to us are destroyed through physically destroying the product. This method meets the requirements of the DoD and the NSA. .
