i've been walking around my neighborhood, shooting pretty flowers (and flower combos and rocks and birds and new architecture and stuff).
it's too much work to upload everything twice, so i'll put this convenient thumbnail link here for y'all's to click on to see the full size image at deviantART.com

funny - i'm on dA
Apr. 9th, 2007 11:30 pmand when i went to fave this painting, maybe i clicked on the wrong thing, but this strange window popped up saying, "promote this image on livejournal...
so i clicked on it, and it immediately brought me to my own journal, and had the coding already inserted in the "post" window.
so, i thought, what the heck - let's see what happens. it's not something that i would normally post here though, just want to see this little phenomena to the end...

spring cleaning...
Mar. 23rd, 2007 12:10 ami feel the need to do a little spring cleaning of my friends list...
just let me know if you wish to remain on my list, and i'll keep ya :)
i'll be doing a reminder every few days for about a week because so many seem to be gone these days, so don't get bugged if you see me keep repeating the question.

Thrift Store Finds
Sep. 7th, 2006 02:10 pmso... my dad and i stopped at a thrifstore yesterday to look around for some bike stuff, etc, and i found these vases. now, the really fabulous thing is that i'd seen these at Costplus WorldMarket last year at xmas, and had drooled over them then, but the taller one was $35, and the shorter one was $20.
how do i remember? i don't. i just remembered they were too expen$ive for me. but the original costplus tags are still on them ;)
anyway, at the thriftstore, they were marked at $13 and $8.50. i decided i could afford the smaller one, and took it up to the counter. discovering they were then HALF OFF the thriftstore price, i rushed back and got the bigger one too. so, for $10, i got what would have originally cost $55. woo hoo :D
