A Decade of Possibility Today, Cennergi celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Tsitsikamma Community Wind Farm (TCWF). Commissioned in 2016, TCWF has delivered 95 MW of clean energy to South Africa’s grid, powering thousands of households annually. Beyond power generation, it has supported bursary programmes, mentorship and youth employment initiatives, extending its impact into surrounding communities. This milestone is a reminder that renewable energy is about more than turbines. It represents a decade of consistent delivery, community empowerment and progress towards a cleaner future for South Africa. #TCWF #10YearAnniversary #OpeningPossibility
About us
At Cennergi, we’re passionate about shaping a cleaner, more resilient energy future for South Africa. As one of the country’s oldest renewable Independent Power Producers (IPPs), we are a solutions provider building, owning, and operating renewable energy projects, renewable energy facilities, and advanced technologies such as battery energy storage systems (BESS) in partnership with utility customers and large industrial and mining clients. We focus on delivering reliable, sustainable renewable energy generation that supports long-term growth and accelerates South Africa’s energy production. Cennergi develops, finances, builds, and operates large-scale wind energy and solar projects in South Africa, along with flexible distributed-generation solutions tailored to the needs of high-demand users, including large industrials. These solutions include wheeled energy and wheeled power offerings that enable customers to access clean electricity across the grid. We empower organisations to improve their energy security and reach ambitious decarbonisation targets. By effectively reducing risks and lowering costs, we enable you to advance toward a sustainable, net-zero future confidently. Our team brings full end-to-end capability—project development, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) oversight, long-term operations and maintenance, and comprehensive renewable energy asset management—making Cennergi a trusted partner for businesses seeking stable, future-focused renewable energy solutions. What truly sets us apart is our track record and our commitment to making a meaningful impact. With high-performing assets like the Amakhala Emoyeni, Tsitsikamma Community, and Karreebosch Wind Farms, and the Lephalale Solar Project, we are delivering clean energy while supporting the communities and industries powering South Africa’s growth. Cennergi Joins Africa’s Energy Leaders at #AEF2026 From 16–19 June 2026, Cennergi will join fellow industry leaders, partners, and stakeholders at the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) in Cape Town, the continent’s most strategic energy investor gathering, held under the theme “Building Africa’s Industrialised Future.” AEF convenes over 400 speakers, including ministers, regulators, developers, and investors, to connect energy, critical minerals, infrastructure, finance, and technology in driving Africa’s industrialisation and energy transition. It is a platform where ambition meets execution, shaping solutions for over 1.5 billion people across the continent. Our Cennergi team will engage in high-level discussions, sharing insights from more than 14 years of leadership in Africa’s renewable energy sector. With a proven track record in delivering turnkey renewable energy solutions, we are proud to contribute to conversations that advance clean energy, community empowerment, and sustainable development. #WorldEnvironmentDay On World Environment Day, 5 June 2026, Cennergi reaffirms its commitment to the protection and conservation of Cape vultures at our Amakhala Emoyeni Wind Farm. As part of this commitment, we proudly support the Limpopo Cape Vulture Nestling Rescue and Rehabilitation Initiative, implemented by the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) at the Manoutsa Cape Vulture Colony. This programme rescues vulnerable nestlings, rehabilitates them at the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, and releases them back into the wild, giving these threatened birds a second chance at life. The initiative not only offsets residual biodiversity impacts associated with Cape vulture fatalities at Amakhala Emoyeni but also supports compliance with IFC Performance Standard 6 (IFC PS6) on biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of living natural resources. Through partnerships such as these, Cennergi continues to promote responsible renewable energy development while helping to safeguard South Africa’s threatened vulture populations for future generations. Our vision is clear: sustainability must protect both people and planet, ensuring that progress is powered responsibly and biodiversity is preserved. Together, we are opening possibility in renewable energy while protecting the species that make our ecosystems thrive. #BiodiversityConservation #SustainableFuture #OpeningPossibility

This Earth Day, we are reminded that the future of our planet is shaped by what we do every day as businesses, communities and individuals. At Cennergi, sustainability is not a standalone goal; it is part of how we create opportunity, strengthen communities and protect the resources we all depend on. Our renewable energy projects do more than generate power. They support local economic development, enable skills development, and create opportunities that extend well beyond the grid. From reducing emissions to supporting livelihoods, our focus is on delivering impact that is both measurable and meaningful. Because the choices we make today will shape the world we leave behind. #EarthDay2026 #OurPowerOurPlanet #CleanEnergy #SustainableFuture #CommunityImpact #RenewableEnergy #TeamCennergi
