As we celebrate National Women’s Day, we reflect on the progress made and the importance of continuing to build workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We kicked off Women’s Month with an inspiring conversation featuring our CEO, Kgomotso Lebele, HR Director Patience Mathebula-Okoruwa, and acclaimed lawyer, author and leadership advocate Linda Kasonde. Together, they explored authentic leadership, resilience, breaking barriers, and the actions needed to turn inclusion into lasting change. This year also marks the 70th anniversary of South Africa’s historic 1956 Women’s March, a powerful reminder that progress is built through collective action. When more voices are included, we create more opportunities to innovate, grow, and shape a better future. Throughout Women’s Month, we’re celebrating the remarkable women across our business, communities, and country who continue to lead with purpose and inspire the next generation. 💜 #WomensMonthSA #NationalWomensDay #WathintAbafaziWathintImbokodo [Accessibility Description: A stack of books by Linda Kasonde titled "Women, Resilience, and the Will to Lead" sits beside a purple Accenture gift bag. AI is transforming cybersecurity at an unprecedented pace, but are organisations keeping up? New research reveals significant gaps in cloud security, data governance and identity management across South African organisations… just as AI is making cyber threats faster, smarter and harder to contain. In this article, Kgomotso Lebele explores why cyber resilience must become a core part of every AI strategy—and what businesses can do now to strengthen their defences. 📖 Read more via ITNewsAfrica.com here: https://accntu.re/4boSqJV [Accessibility description: Image of two people behind screens with title overlay "AI is raising South Africa's cybersecurity stakes" beneath a Greater Than symbol.]

We marked Mandela Day by coming together in Johannesburg to give back to our communities. In partnership with Rise Against Hunger Africa, 90 volunteers showed up and got to work packing 156960 meals for families in need, turning 67 minutes into something truly meaningful. Thank you to everyone who took part. It was a privilege to spend the day giving back alongside our colleagues and community partners. 74% of consumers would hand routine tasks to an #AI agent, on their terms. That changes everything. Brands have always competed to win hearts and minds. Now, they need to win algorithms too. As conversations focus on growth and relevance in the age of AI, this shift is already reshaping how decisions get made. Explore the findings: https://accntu.re/4b16uch [Image Description: A carousel revealing how agentic AI is reshaping shopping with stats on consumer trust, AI decision-making, and what it means for brands.]

Fifteen years ago, just over 10 kids raced handmade wire cars down the streets of Philipstown. Today, that same race reaches screens, and wins awards around the world 🏆 We're proud to recognise the incredible work that was honored on the global stage at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The Philipstown WireCar Foundation: The Philipstown WireCar Grand Prix won not 1 but 2 accolades at Cannes - silver in Entertainment, and Bronze in Creative Data. It also came 2nd in the ACT Responsible program, which recognises impact-based work in industry. Congratulations to the Philipstown community for making this a Cannes Lions to remember. https://accntu.re/4v3JbWD [Video Description: In Philipstown, South Africa, children build and race handmade wire cars in the WireCar Grand Prix. In South Africa, agentic commerce is not a future trend - it is a present-day competitive battleground. At our inaugural Accenture Agentic Commerce Webinar, we explored where this shift is showing up… and what it means for brands across retail, consumer goods, and beyond. A few standout insights: • AI is moving upstream: influencing not just discovery, but decision-making and transaction execution. • Consumers are increasingly relying on agents to compare, decide, and purchase on their behalf. • In South Africa alone, 77% of consumers already use AI for search, and adoption continues to accelerate. The organisations that act now — optimising for AI-driven journeys, investing in data, and rethinking customer experience — will define the next era of commerce. Thank you to our speakers and partners for bringing this conversation to life. As AI systems become more complex, control blind spots are growing. Sovereignty needs to reach across the entire AI stack, not just its foundations. Explore what leaders need to consider next: https://accntu.re/4tO2ti4 [Image description: A chart shows only 22% of organisations apply sovereignty to AI models, with data and infrastructure leading and a clear gap across the stack.]
