About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Investments Project Manager. This person will drive our investment process, conduct due diligence, negotiate deals and oversee spin outs and graduations. This role requires a deep understanding of deep tech, exceptional project management skills, a proven track record in M&A transactions, and experience with spin-outs and investor relations.

How you will make 10x impact:

  • Deal Execution:
    • Work with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
    • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial, legal, technical, and operational analysis.
    • Formulate and help negotiate deal terms and structure with target companies.
  • Spin-outs and Divestitures:
    • Lead the process of spinning out new ventures from the company, including developing business plans, securing funding, and establishing independent operations.
    • Manage all aspects of the spin-out process, from initial concept to successful launch.
  • Investor Relations:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors and potential investors.
    • Communicate effectively with investors regarding M&A transactions and spin-outs.
    • Manage investor due diligence requests and provide timely and accurate information.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic opportunities
    • Develop and maintain an M&A pipeline and proactively source new opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development of the company's overall M&A strategy.
  • Other:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with investment bankers, lawyers, and other external advisors.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in M&A and spin-outs.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

What you should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in M&A project management, with a focus on deep tech or a related field. 
  • Proven experience managing and executing investments, acquisitions, and spin-outs. 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of successful deal execution and spin-out launches.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling & presentation skills.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of deep tech and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

It would be great if you also had these:

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with deep tech early stage projects and/or climate initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000 - $318,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
