Biography

I've always been intrigued with history - how people once lived, what religion or beliefs informed their society, and how a particular historical era ended. I have a B.A. (Hons) degree in History and studied ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Israel, as well as medieval history, the British Empire and the era of colonialism, Russian history, Australian history, and modern America. I am particularly interested in the history of science and have an M.A. in Chaos & Complexity Science.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to some intriguing places: Bhutan, Namibia, Mozambique, Nicaragua. In each destination, I've found spectacular examples of historical sites, myths and legends, and amazing stories of heroic explorers. History is alive and well wherever you look.

I also write historical fiction and poetry. Visit kvmartins.com
