Wolfram Daily Study Groups are fun, directed, incremental learning resources for building computational competence. Study Groups offer academic and professional development opportunities for anyone interested in expanding their skillset. A Wolfram instructor guides each session by sharing short lessons, polling the group to review key concepts, introducing practice problems and answering questions. Certificates of program completion are available to engaged participants, with additional opportunities for Level 1 proficiency certifications offered for select topics and areas of study. FAQ
Wolfram Daily Study Groups are for students, educators, professionals and researchers looking for academic and professional development resources, or anyone interested in developing new skills or learning about new computational topics.
How does certification work?A certificate of program completion is awarded after the Study Group ends to any participant who has attended the sessions and passed the required assessments. Each qualified participant will receive a personalized, sharable Wolfram certificate. Some Study Groups include additional opportunities for advanced levels of certification, and every Study Group helps you make progress in building both your Wolfram Language and computational skills.
Do I need to already know Wolfram Language? Not at all. Study Groups offer access to resources for getting started with Wolfram Language and can help new users develop proficiency with Wolfram tech. Study Group instructors are present in every daily session and are happy to answer questions.
What do I need in order to participate? All you need is an internet connection and a web browser. Participants can type questions into the Q&A interface and aren't asked to interact via audio or video. Participants with access to Mathematica or Wolfram|One can download and interact with all of the presentation materials.
Is there a fee to participate? No. Wolfram Daily Study Groups are a completely free resource, including free access to deployed resources on the Wolfram Cloud.
What will I learn?Working with Wolfram technology will encourage you to think computationally—to leverage the power of computing and programming—and not just for mathematics or computer science classes! The ideas and concepts you will learn are useful across subjects and curricula.
What if I need to miss a session?Study Group participants receive a daily email that includes a link to session recordings and other materials, so you can always catch up on any session you miss. Each study group has a corresponding discussion thread on Wolfram Community, and we encourage participants to ask questions and discuss the material with each other and the instructors on that forum.
What topics are available?Almost a hundred Wolfram Daily Study Groups have been offered since 2020, covering topics ranging from creative computation to quantum computing to LLM fundamentals.
