Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something about the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!

Our SCS friend, Brenda (aka Benzi) recently lost her 45-year old son, Patrick. In addition to his mother, father, and brother, Patrick also left behind a wife and young son. From what I’ve been able to figure, the O’Rear family is very outdoorsy. When she’s not crafting, Brenda spends time in her flower gardens and walking in the park. She loves sunshine and sunny days. Patrick was a hunter and also spent time outdoors.
CHALLENGE: We’re going to combine elements from both Patrick and Brenda’s fondness of the outdoors. You are challenged to create a landscape-oriented card (not portrait) with a floral camouflage element. You can use an actual camo pattern (DSP, stamp, stencil, etc.), try the eclipse technique where a word or element is camouflaged in a patterned background, or add a hidden element in your design. It’s a sad occasion but let’s do what we do best…shower Brenda & Tommy with compassion and joy.

Wonderful challenge to show our beautiful friend that she is loved during this tragic time. I will be thinking of this challenge and create a card. Hugs

Thank you so much. I just realized I, along with hubby, was being honored with all these wonderful cards. I have already received cards from several SCS'ers and they are so appreciated. I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to lose a child. Patrick was such a light in our lives. He was always happy and looking on the positive side of things and had a wonderful smile He was so attentive to hubby and me and we can hardly believe he is gone. Our hearts are in pieces. Thank you all again and hugs to you all.

It has been such a busy weekend. However, I did get my card done for Brenda and Tommy. A friend challenged me to make a simple card since I tend to "junk" my cards up.....This is what I came up with. Simple/Nice
