Colosseum of Lust

This story had me hooked from the very beginning. I desperately wanted to know more about Duncan and Tim's fates, and wondered/worried if Axel and Tiny would find Duncan before something serious happened to him. I loved the brutality, it was just what I look for in one of these stories. I'll definitely be (impatiently) waiting for the next one!

I came to this series after reading Colosseum of Lust, and absolutely loved it! It's so dark and twisted, and I'm going to devour the rest of the series too!

Hell Revised

Well, that wasn't what I expected. But, I'm not saying that as a negative, I'm saying that this story took a turn that surprised me. Finding out what Dr. Malcolm does on the side, well, was a surprise, and honestly made him out to be a decent human being. This is also something Duncan wars within himself about because he finds it hard to separate the man who turned him in to what he is and what the man stands for. I'm really interested to see how the group keeps their project going for the next book, and ultimately how it all turns out throughout the series. Can't wait for the next one!

The Apprentice Vol. 1

This series continues to bring the depraved story that I love. We have a time jump in this one, and it seems that the underlings are getting closer to ascending, which leads to new plans for Kendrick (now Mason) with his Master Bakzel and Bakzel's master Tonram... and the addition of an apprentice! Love it all! Can't wait to go devour the next one!

A Nightmare for Your Dream

I was hesitant at first to read this one because I wasn't really excited to read Robert's back story. But once I started reading I wanted to kick myself for waiting so long! Robert's story explains so much about how he acts within the first two books. It shows how easily he became what he is, and why he's able to treat others like they're nothing but dirt beneath his shoe. But it also shows how serious Robert was to become a doctor and cure the disease that took his sister and family from him.

5 stars because of the dark grittiness, but maybe 3 stars for the almost constant conversations between characters as they talked through feelings and insights into why they did what they did, or why they are planing what they're planning to make the Ring of Lust like it once was. I do like that they have a new "office", and are working to make Uncle Mal's work known to the world. But, I'm interested to see what the Baron will do, or IF he will do something to try and stop them.

While the story was well written, it just didn't keep my interest like the other books did. Other than helping Duncan, I really didn't see the point to everything they were doing. Maybe I forgot some info from the last book, or just missed something, I don't know. I just know that I seriously struggled while reading this.

Hunter - The Complete Novel

From the synopsis of these stories, I had hoped they would be perfect reads for the type of stories I like. But I just couldn't get into it. At all. I barely made it through the second chapter before starting to skim the pages. I honestly can't tell you where I stopped, but it wasn't much farther than that. I might try to pick it up again someday.

Poor Bill is mentally breaking now. After being given to the breeding room, he's full of eggs, and the prince finds it so adorable. But, they are near a station close to Earth. Billy may see his way out of this mess. Can't wait for the next one to see what happens.
