INTRODUCTION
 Teaching methods refer to the strategies, techniques, and approaches that
educators use to facilitate learning and ensure the effective transmission of
knowledge, skills, and attitudes to students.
 These methods are designed to engage learners, promote understanding, and
enhance retention based on different learning styles and educational goals.
CLASSIFICATION OF TEACHING METHODS

I. Teacher centred : In teacher centred


methods, teacher plays an active role and
student's role is minimized to a passive
listener,. These methods include lecture,
demonstration, bedside clinic, etc

Learner centred methods: Learner centred methods


include free group discussions, care plan, case study, return
demonstration, role play, project work, self-learning
methods, etc. with some conscious efforts and by the
effective use of teaching aids, a talented teacher can easily
transform a teacher centred method into a more admirable
learner centred methods.

 The classification of teaching methods is essential for ensuring effective learning
experiences.
 No single method suits all learning situations, so teachers must be flexible and
adaptable in choosing appropriate strategies based on their students' needs.
