TT PCG CREATE Version 1.02 beta is a utility for managing Korg5 type PCG files used by Korg synthesizers, allowing users to create a sound database and generate PCG files. Before I start I want to thank you for using this [Link] Program is a librarian - (will be an
editor soon also) for Korg5 type PCG files which are used by Korg X series and N series synthesisers.
(perhaps more..)That means you can make a database of sounds and create pcgs from it.
Always backup your files which you are using with this utility because you use this program on
your own risk, and also it's a beta version and you may damage your files.

1-INTRODUCTION:
-----------------------

1-1 :What's a Korg5 type PCG file?


A Korg5 type PCG file is a file which stores 200 programs ,200 combination and global data of
your [Link]'s commonly used by Korg X series and N series synthesisers.

1-2 What you can do with this program?


*You can read a PCG file and see its contents.
*You can zof programs,combinations and drum kits of your PCG files.
*Some properties of this database are:
1-No two same sound can be [Link] you are adding sounds to this database it's
checked if there is another same sound in the database.
2-Combinations are added with linked with their [Link] means if you are adding
a combination that uses prog A15 and B32 then these programs also be sended to database and in the
database the links of combination saved.(While sending programs of combinations also same check in
properties 1 made)
3-Drum kits of some Drum programs also be sended to database automaticly and these
programs are linked to these drumkits.
*You can search Database by name,[Link] for combinations by used programs and for
programs by used drum kits and Osc multisounds.
*You can classify your sounds.(For example piano,ep,organ,My favorites,Van Halen
sounds......)
*You can create custom classes.
*Every sound(combination or program) may have 80 latter long explanation. Also every sound
may belong up to 10 classes.
*You can create a new PCG file or change an existing PCG file.

1-3 What You cannot do with this program:


*You cannot edit sounds.(For now)
*You cannot create more than one PCG file at a time.
*You cannot Dump data to and from your synthesiser.(for now)
*You cannot edit the database of Drum kits (for now)

1-4 Install of program and Files in the package:


There is no install of this program,just unzip the zip file to a single directory and make sure all
files are remains [Link] a shortcut in the start menu to [Link] and there you [Link] files in
the package are:
[Link] : the main exe file of program.
[Link] :Some data for exe.
[Link] :document for version changes
[Link]: This file.
Also program creates 4 new files in the same directory of [Link] when you run the
program and erase them when you close the program.

2-PROGRAM:
----------------
2-1-Main Program Window:
Main program window is seperated into 4 tab [Link] and second ones are to see
database programs and [Link] and forth ones are for current PCG [Link] the right side of
database tabs you see search and information [Link] search zone you can make a search in the
database and from information zone you can see and change some database related properties of
sounds.(The real editor of sounds also will be added in future versions.)

2-2-Importing-Exporting PCGs:
To import a PCG file just select Import PCG from PCG menu and select the [Link] will see
the file opened in the PCG programs and PCG combinations tabs.
Also to export current PCG (the one you see in PCG programs and combinations tab)
just select export PCG from PCG menu.

2-3-Sending PCGs to database:


There are 4 ways to send [Link] first one is to send one by [Link] select the
combination or program from PCG tabs and click send to database from edit [Link] you can send
all PCG or just combinations (that means all combinations and programs they are using and also the
drum kits the programs using) or just programs(and their drum kits..) by selecting "Send PCG to
Database" or "Send only combinations of pcg" and "Send only programs of PCG".
While sending, checking of two same sounds are automaticly made.(this is done whenever you
send a combination,program and a drum kit directly or indirectly.)

2-4 Deleting sounds from database or from PCG:


Just select sound or sounds and click delete from edit [Link] you want to clear all pcg just
select new pcg from pcg menu.

2-5 Changing name and entering explanations to Database sounds:


Just click the edit enabled check box from bottom (they are different from 1st tab to 2nd) and
you are [Link] the explanation of sound and enter the new name if you dont like [Link] hit
[Link]'s all.

2-6 Saving and openning Database files:


From file menu you can open a database file,create a new databesa and export your current
databse.
Database files consist of 5 [Link] you save a database these 5 files created and [Link]
file types are:
????????.tdb : The real file when you open and save [Link] includes the length of data in
the files and the names of other database files.
????????.prg : Programs database.
????????.cmb:Combination database
????????.dru : Drumkits database
????????.tur : Classes database.

2.7 Searching Database:


You can search by name or class and by program Id number of combinations and drumkit
Idnumber for programs. Also you can search programs database by multisounds of [Link] can
do these by entering the value or name to search parth of database tabs and then clicking search button.

3-CLASSES:
--------------

3-1 Theory:
Classes are catagories for sounds that you [Link] example you create "Piano" or "My
favorites" class and make sounds belong to these classes.A sound may belong up tu 10 [Link]
you can make sub classes of main [Link] example you can make a "Piano" class and then make a
"EP" sub class of the piano [Link] you search a higher class in the database it will show sounds
that belongs to that class and the subclasses of that class.
3-2 Setting up classes:
You can setup classes by Edit Database Classes in the edit [Link] the beginning you have
only one class of "No class".And you can add classes by entering the name and parent class for that
class and then hitting add class [Link] you want to make a class, main class than select no parent
[Link] can Delete classes by selecting the class from tree and than pressing delete button.

3-3 Setting up classes of a sound.


To set up classes of sounds (it can be more than one) just hit edit classes [Link] the new
page you can add and remove classes of that sound.

3-4 Setting up classes of more than one sound.


To set up more than one sounds' classes just select the classes from database and hit edit classes
[Link] the new page you can add and remove classes of these sounds.

4-1 About me:


I'm from Turkey-Istanbul.I'm 19 and studying Electronics and Communication in Istanbul
Technical University.I'm playing piano for about 14 years and making computer generated music for
about 5 [Link] I like PC programming with pascal, C ,C++ and Borland C++ Builder.
