Museum of Origins — A Living Settlement of Emergence


Core Thesis (Jury-Facing)
The museum is not a container of artifacts, but an extension of Hadigaon’s
everyday life—where craft, ritual, and community form the ground from which
collective memory emerges.

1. DESIGN EMPHASIS SHIFT (FROM “MUSEUM” TO “SETTLEMENT”)


1.1 Ground Floor Priority (Key to Winning)
• Ground floor shown as active and occupied in most drawings.
• Paatis, workshops, courtyards, and multipurpose spaces dominate plans
and renders.
• Flood logic presented as adaptive wisdom, not limitation.
What juries should feel:
“This place will be used even if no exhibition ticket is sold.”

2. DRAWING PRIORITIZATION (WHAT TO MAKE BIG)


Board 01 — Concept + Living Context
• Concept diagram showing people first, artifacts above
• Site plan with community flows emphasized
• Section diagram highlighting flood + ascent
• Minimal text, strong narrative captions
Board 02 — Architecture as Community
• Ground floor plan (largest drawing)
