INTRODUCTION:-
PowerPoint is a presentation program by Microsoft. it is a part of the Microsoft office.
PowerPoint is used by business people, educators, students and trainers.

BASIC POWERPOINT TO TERMINOLOGY:-

SLIDE LAYOUT:-
Slide is the individual pages of your presentations slides can be designed with different titles, graphics,
text and much more.

PRESENTATION:-
All the slides from start to finish that you show to your audience, sometimes, presentation are a;sp
called slideshow.
NOTES:-
Printed page that the speaker writes and print so that you know what to say during a [Link] the
speaker see the notes.

HANDOUTS:-
Printed pages that you may give to the audience after a presentation. A handout shows the
slide in the presentation.

BASIC COMPONENTS OF POWERPOINT WINDOWS:-

The various parts of the above figure are discussed below:-

MICROSOFT OFFICE BUTTON:-


Contains some commonly used commands.
TITLE BAR:-
Contains the application name and the buttons to control the window.

QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR:-


Contains commonly used icons that give you quick access to PowerPoint
2007 features. The default icons are save, undo and redo. You may customize the quick access
toolbar to include other PowerPoint commands that you use most often.

CURRENT SLIDE:-
Slide is the slide that you are working upon for the presentation.

RIBBON:-
Contains icons that provide access to various PowerPoint 2007 commands related to
the active tab. Ribbons are divided into groups. Each has a group name at the button of the
rectangle.

SLIDES/OUTLINE PANE:-
Outlines pane allows you toggle between a text outline view of the slide
presentation and a thumbnail view.
STATUS BAR:-
Display the slide number and the total number of slides in the presentation also
display the theme used to create the presentation.

NOTES PANE:-
Allows you to type note for the active slide .any typed notes will appear when you print
out notes pages for your presentation.

VIEW BUTTONS:-
Click these buttons to easily switch between the three views-

Change the layout of selected slide.
DELETE SLIDE:-
Remove this slide from the presentation.

TEXT SHADOW:-
Add a shadow behind the selected text to help it stand out on the slide.
CHARACTER SPACING:-
Adjust the spacing between characters.

TEXT DIRECTION:-
Change the orientation of text to vertical stacked or rotate it to the
desired direction.

INSERT PICTURE FROM FILE:-


CLIP ART:-
To enhance the presentation, a clip art graphic can be used. the first
step of that process is to add a new with a layout that can accommodate both text
and clip art.
1-Add a new slide or change the slide layout of the slide in which you wish to add a
clip art-
2-Clip on the clip art icon in the middle of the bottom row of icons. this display the
clip art search screen in the right side of the window.

SMART ART :-
Insert a smart art graphic to visually communicate information.
INSERT CHART:-
Insert a chart to illustrate and compare data.
Pie, bar, line, area and surface are some of the available types

Switch the slide orientation between portrait and landscape.

BACKGROUND STYLE:-Choose the background for this theme.


Right click any style for more ways to apply it.

HIDE BACKGROUND:-
Don’t show the background graphic included in the them you have
selected.
ANIMATION(ALT+A)
PREVIEW ANIMATION:-
Preview the animation and slide transition you have created for this slide.
ANIMATE:-
Choose an animate to apply to object in the slide.
CUSTOM ANIMATION:-
Open the custom animation task pane that you can animate individual object on the
slide.

TRANSITION:-
One way to add a nice touch of professionalism to a slide show is to add transition to
the slide. Transition affects the way one slide goes to the next slide.

TRANSITION SPEED:-
Choose how fast to animate the transition between the previous slide and the
current slide.

ON MOUSE CLICK:-
Wait unit a mouse click to move to the next slide.
SLIDE SHOW (ALT+S)
While putting together a PowerPoint slide show, it is often useful to actually run the show to
see what it will really look like when it is presented to an audience.
SLIDE SHOW FROM BEGINNING:-
Start the slide show from the first slide.

Start the slide show from the current slide.

CUSTOM SLIDE SHOW:-
Create or play a custom slide show.
A custom slide show displays only the slide you select.
SET UP SHOW:-
Set up advanced option for the slide show such as mode.

HIDE SLIDE:-
Hide the current slide from the presentation.
It will not be shown during the full screen show.
REHEARSE TIMING:-
Launch of full screen slide show in which you can rehearse you presentation.

View this presentation in black and white and customize how the color are
translated into black and white.

NEW WINDOW:-
Open a new window containing a view of the current document.

ARRANGE ALL:-
Tile all open program window side by side on the screen.

CASECADE:-
Cascade the open document windows on the screen so that they overlap.
SWITCH WINDOWS:-
Switch to a different currently open window.
