1. INTRODUCTION

The LX20B transmitters are modern devices based on

microprocessors for real-time data transmission on the GSM network.
Connection to the monitoring station allows data to be transmitted from the control unit
alarms via Contact ID (DTMF) or SIA (FSK). Transmission channels
available: GPRS / UMTS / HSPA (3G) and SMS.

The LX20B transmitters guarantee maximum transmission security.

data through the following transmission channels: GPRS / UMTS / HSPA (3G) /
SMS. Additionally, in the LX20B-5D model, it is possible to use two Nano SIM cards.
that increases the reliability of the device in case of, for example, network failure.
The LX20B transmitters are compatible with all alarm systems.
popular. Packet-switched data transmission (GPRS / UMTS / HSPA) allows
reduce the operating costs of alarm systems. It is also possible
send text messages to private mobile phones.

The security of data transmission is guaranteed through the methods of

more modern encryption. A 256-bit encryption key has been used and
the encryption method in compliance with the AES standard (English: Advanced Encryption)
Standard). Therefore, the transmission can be received as prepared through the
[Link] monitoring system receptor.

The programming of the transmitters can be carried out:

locally using a computer and a dedicated program "configurator of

or remotely through GPRS / UMTS / HSPA (3G)
through SMS commands
by means of transmission on the CSD channel

take advantage of distance learning.
In this option, the programming is divided into two stages:
a) sending to the transmitter (via SMS) the basic parameters that allow him
connect to the communication server ([Link] system)
b) complete device configuration through the programming option to
distance (configurator of GPRS transmitters and [Link]).

To carry out the quick activation procedure, you must:

a) insert the SIM card with the PIN changed to 1111 or the PIN request
deactivated
b) connect the power supply of the module,
c) send to the SIM card number the SMS with the parameters related to the
connection of the device to the communication server ([Link]),
wait until the device indicates that it has connected to the server,

Attention: for the device to connect to the server, it must first be

registered in it. The registration procedure is described in the User Manual
from [Link].

e) program it completely remotely using the Configurator of the

GPRS transmitters.

The SMS format is required to contain the necessary elements, that is:

<transmitter service code>█SERVER=<address of

server█PORT=<puerto del servidor>█
APN=<nombre del punto de acceso>█UN=<user ID number>█
PW=<contraseña del usuario>

where:
█space bar
<transmitter service code>: factory set to 1111
<server address>: server address for communication designed to receive
transmitter signals, for example [Link]. In case the address is
presented in the domain format, e.g. [Link], the SMS must
attach the parameter DNS1= (address of the primary DNS server)
<server port>: server port number where the
device messages
<nombre del punto de acceso>: nombre del punto de acceso a la red GSM.
If we have access from a private network, then the SMS must include the
following parameters: UN=<user ID number> and PW=<password of
user>

When the status of the entries is in accordance with what is established in the
programming process (NO or NC), the device remains inactive. Change the
the state of any input will trigger an immediate response from the device in
form of signal transmission of such event.

Note:
Each device input (from IN1 to IN5) can be defined individually as
normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC). This means that in the state
NO, the active state will be the entry closure, and in the NC state the active state
it will be the opening.

To avoid the excessive costs of use, related mainly to alarms

unique. New activation of the entrance (another transmission) will only be possible when
the entry returned to the set state.

In SMS mode, the number of messages sent in a unit of time

determined is limited (the limit also concerns text messages or the
responses to the commands sent by the user). This function allows to reduce
the costs, limiting the number of messages sent unnecessarily, e.g. in the
case of the malfunction of the sensor connected to one of the inputs. When the time passes the
defined time, new SMS messages will be sent, but only to the number
limited by the user.
The content of the SMS messages with information about the events, sent

6.1. PRELIMINARY NOTES

The GPS transmitter configurator software can be downloaded from

[Link] registering. Run the installer that will guide you through
of the installation process. By default, the software is installed in the folder
C:\Program Files\EBS\. The installer will also be able to create shortcuts to the program in the
desktop and in the Windows system menu.

When the device is to be used for the first time, it must first be programmed by
middle of the aforementioned software. Only after carrying this out
procedure the SIM card can be inserted into the device. Otherwise the
SIM card may be blocked if the incorrect PIN code is entered. One
An alternative solution is to use the SIM card with the PIN code disabled.

In case of remote programming, it is necessary to insert the SIM card before

we are going to use. We will have two programming methods: local and remote.

[Link]. Local connection

The local connection means that the configuration software (actually, the computer
in which it is installed) is directly connected to the transmitter connector
appropriate, using a special programming cable that utilizes the RS- serial port
232 (GD-PROG) or a USB or Bluetooth port (MINI-PROG-BT, SP-PROG-BT). Each
connection channel (including USB and Bluetooth) "opens" the virtual COM serial ports
used in the communication between the alarm control panel and the Configurator.

In order to program the device or perform other activities (for example, read the
device configuration, change firmware, etc.) first the must be defined the
connection parameters.

To do this, use the following window available after activating the File option.

temporal, it is necessary to specify the number of violations after which one
it will produce the blockage and the duration of the blockage from the moment it occurred

By checking the [Activate SMS restrictions] field, we will enable access to the groups of
information that will be restricted:
o SMS tests to the server
o SMS events sent to the server
o SMS events sent to the user
o {"response":"Responses to commands"}

These restrictions are defined by introducing two values:

Max. number of SMS: Determines the maximum number of SMS messages sent
during a unit of time (see the Reset parameter of the counter). This
option protects the user from receiving too many messages, for example, in
case of failure.
Resetting the counter: This parameter determines the frequency (in minutes) of
resetting the counter of the sent SMS messages.

7.6. NOTIFICATIONS BY SMS

The user has the option to define the communications that, in the event that it occurs
the given event (e.g. change of the input state) will be sent to the numbers of
private phones. At the same time, it is important to take into account the implementation of
restrictions in this regard.
