ROLE SUMMARY

Do you want to solve complex business and technical challenges using the latest tools and frameworks? Do

engineering teams and manufacturing facilities. Our interns write and deliver real software by working directly
with engineering managers and leads to gather requirements, design, and implement solutions and services
for our customers.

We want you to gain real world experience in the life of a software engineer, over the course of 6 months you
will work on real projects, develop software using agile methodologies, and deliver true value for the company.
You will tackle complex and interesting problems using industry leading tech stacks which will let you build
highly relevant and long-lasting skills.

Duration - 6 months, please ensure to indicate your availability during the application process.

Key job responsibilities

- Work with experienced engineering managers and leads to design and implement cutting edge
products and services.
- Design and build scalable solutions using a range of technologies including Java, Python, AWS, Azure,
Kubernetes and Docker.
- Work with teams using agile methodologies to deliver software on time while meeting complex
requirements.

A day in the life


As an intern, you will be assigned to a manager for the duration of your tenure in Pfizer. You will bring your
existing skillset to bear to help design, implement and deliver services in a range of areas including REST API
development, process automation, data analysis, generative AI, and much more.
In addition to your day-to-day work, you will get an invaluable opportunity to meet and connect with seasoned
professionals and like-minded individuals on a personal level, expand your network, and attend all team
building and social events. Over 6 months you will become fully immersed in the company’s culture and
experience the day-to-day life of a software engineer while you help us deliver meaningful, impactful solutions
to real world issues. Help us to deliver breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree course in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or


related fields at time of application.
- Familiarity with industry standard languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, data structures,
problem solving and complexity analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with a cloud provider such as AWS or Azure.


- Experience with microservices architecture and relational databases.
- Experience in developing REST APIs.
- Previous technical internship(s) if applicable.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical challenges and discuss solutions.

Standard work schedule applies.
