Socialisolationandlonelinessarekeychallengesforanageingpopulation, particularlyinthecontemporaryerawhenfamiliesmigrateacrosstheworld andwheretherearestarkdifferencesincommunitysupportivenessboth [Link] placeinfosteringcommunitycohesionandproductivityandofarangeof [Link] communityvitalitycanbecreditedtoolderpeoplethemselves,andinvolves understandinghowolderpeopleactivelycontributetocommunities. However,knowledgegapsalsoremaininourunderstandingofwhicholder adultsareatriskofexclusionfromsocialrelationships,materialresourcesand communitysettingsthatenhancequalityoflifeandwhicharemostlikelyto bemarginalized.
