Urdd Gobaith Cymru and Diversions Dance Co plus retail facilities

Copenhagen Opera House, Copenhagen, Denmark

Full acoustic consultancy services, including the testing of a 1 to 25 scale acoustic
model of the main auditorium, for a new opera house on a central harbour side
location in Copenhagen. The building will become the principal opera performance
venue for the Det Kongelige Teater. The 1450-seat main auditorium and the small
studio stage will also present some ballet productions. The theatre will have a full
wagon system for scenery movement and the building includes an orchestral
rehearsal room and the usual opera and ballet rehearsal spaces

Graham Young Structural, mechanical, electrical, public health, fire safety, acoustic design, lighting
design and transport planning for the development of the Grade I listed, 36 380m²
opera house. The project included the renovation of the 2270-seat main auditoria and
the Floral Hall, reconstruction of the fly tower and stage area plus construction of a
400 seat second auditorium, shops and restaurants

Santa Fe Opera House, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA

Engineering support for the renovation and expansion of a structure built in 1967 that
Robert Reck Photography was in need of more space and better protection from the weather. To resolve these
shortcomings, a glazed clerestory connects the stage roof, which was rebuilt, to the
extended mezzanine roof, so that all seating is sheltered. The sides of the theater
remain open to preserve the theater's direct connection to its rugged site. Complying
with ADA requirements, the project included wheelchair ramps, elevators, and infrared
systems for the hearing impaired and blind. Seating capacity increased by 279 to a
total of 2168

Glyndebourne Opera House, East Sussex, United Kingdom

Project coordination, civil and structural engineering and traffic studies for 90 000m2
cultural centre incorporating The Podium (housing auditoria, rehearsal rooms, offices,
storage and plantrooms), Concert Hall (audience capacity 2700), Opera Theatre
(audience capacity 1500) and Restaurant. The seating capacity of the building
exceeds 6200 people
