People love dogs because of their faithful character.
When it comes to choosing my
favorite animal, it also would be my dog. In ancient times, dogs used to be wild
animals, but now they are domesticated/dəˈmestɪkeɪtɪd/ and are loyal friends of
humans. I still remember receiving a dog as a birthday present when I was a child.
Since then, my affection for dogs has grown much stronger. Their yellow furry
/ˈfɜːri/ body, soft skin and floppy ears make me delight and every time I touch it, I
feel relaxed. Whenever I head back home from school, it is waiting to welcome me
at the door. Also, it makes me feel better when I’m down in the dumps. In addition
to that, dogs are so docile and intelligent that they are usually trained by police to
be reliable investigators. Many houses keep dogs so as to safeguard their house
against any criminal act. They also can guide blind people. Therefore, they are
considered loyal companions /kəmˈpænjən/ for all their capabilities. That is the
reason why I choose dogs as my favorite animal.
Dogs are also remarkably intelligent. They can be trained to perform a wide range
of tasks, from basic obedience to highly specialized roles like search and rescue,
guide dogs for the visually impaired, or even therapy dogs providing comfort to
those in need.
They are not just pets; they are cherished members of our families, enriching our
existence in countless ways. The bond between humans and dogs is a remarkable
and enduring one, making these furry friends truly deserving of their title as "man's
best friend."
