Objectives
When you have successfully completed this lab, you will be able to:
• Check and Adjust the Couch
• Check and Adjust the Tilt mechanism (Not for Access CT)
• Configure the main drive servo controller
• Configure the patient table horizontal servo controller
• Check the balance of the gantry
• Check the tension of the belts

Time
2.5 hours

Introduction
This lab covers the rotor motion, patient table horizontal motion and if applicable tilt motion and patient table
vertical motion

Procedure Preview
In this lab exercise, the learner will perform
• Rotor Calibration
• Couch Vertical Calibration
• Couch Horizontal Calibration
• Tilt Calibration (MX16/Incisive CT)
• Measurement of the Belt tension

Special Instructions/Precautions
Make sure you read and understand the safety guidelines before proceed with the lab assignments

a motion before initiating, DON’T DO IT! Please seek help from the instructor if unsure.>

1. Couch Limit Switched Recognition
a. Look for all micro switches related to horizontal motion.
b. List all the micro switches and their functionalities

SL305 Vertical Down Position Switch

2. Lifted Patient Table Vertical Adjustment


a. Perform the vertical adjustment as descripted in the Calibration and Adjustment Instructions Manual.
b. Only check the principle of the “Down Limit Switch” SL305. DO NOT TOUCH. This switch is checked
and calibrated in the factory. Changing the position might cause table error ERR03.

a. Perform the belt tension adjustment as descripted in the Calibration and Adjustment Instructions
Manual.

5. Servo Controller Programming


a. Program the main drive servo controller as descripted in the CT System Flash Programming Manual
b. Program the patient table horizontal servo controller as descripted in the CT System Flash
Programming Manual

6. Service Tools (Auto Calibration) – Gantry Balance Check


a. Go to Service Tools
b. At “Advance Tab”, Select “Auto Calibration”
c. At “Calibration Process” column, Select “Custom Calibration”
d. Run Rotor Balance Test
